I kind of liked this book but at the same time, I am confused, especially by the ending. Maybe I missed something but I have no idea what happened there. 

Because of many changes of location and relatively short chapters, reading the book remained interesting and I could have read it in one sitting if I had wanted to.

The content, consisting of the description of an obsession of one woman with another woman (the woman in the purple skirt), is kind of creepy, disconcerting and captivating at the same time.

All in all, I probably won't ever read it again but it still was very fascinating to read about how the protagonist describes the social relationships in her surroundings.
