One of the most fun reads I’ve had in a while. This book made me laugh, squeal, and gasp so much that I had to put the book down just to compose myself again. It has the perfect amount of romance cliches but written in a way that isn’t overdone and annoying. I really can’t say enough great things about this book.

At first I figured this book would’ve be for me. The title, the cover didn’t really appeal, but I actually ended up loving this book.
I love Romeo. I love Rimmel. I love Braeden. I love Murphy.
This is a great ensemble with a good paced story.
The following books get a bit more dramatic but don’t lose their spark, give it a go!

I decided to give finally give #Nerd one a chance after hearing so many people rave about it. I'm not sorry I did. It was cute book, but I just didn't love it the way some others have. If I'd have read it a few years ago when it first released, back when I read A LOT of new adult, I might've felt differently. Who knows.

The characters in this book were just average to me. I liked Rimmel more than Romeo most of the time, but I never truly fell head over heels with either character. I didn't DISLIKE them, but I just didn't connect with either of them. Honestly, I didn't get a lot of believable emotion from either of them until the very end, when they did deliver a few feels. Overall, the book was almost unbelievably trope-y at times and there wasn't much to make it stand out to me. I probably won't continue reading the rest of the series. So many of my friends loved it that I feel like maybe I should give it another chance, but I'm not sure. Maybe. 

I will say that I did enjoy the audio performances. I think both narrators — Chandra Skyye Chandra Skyye and Eric Michael Summerer — did a good job with the story. I did listen to the majority of the book before finally switching over to the eBook to wrap up the final few chapters. Regardless, Chandra and Eric made a great Rimmel and Romeo, respectively. I enjoyed their performances even if the story didn't totally win me over.

I tried to like this, I really did, and I probably would have if I'd read this back when NA was starting to become a huge thing. But the hero was kinda awful and the heroine almost unbelievable.
