Neva’s books are so easy to get through. I just love reading them, they make me happy. I loved the story even though I was a bit worried about the thrope loss of memory, but it was well done. I liked Isabella a lot I loved how she saved Luca’s place in the Family. Only thing I think could have been better was the relationship between Luca and his daughter. I felt like it wasn’t shown much and Isabella had a better bound with her than Luca himself.

This one was a little rough. Some of the plot points or character traits felt random and weren’t necessarily cohesive.

Okay I don't usually do more than one line reviews but to put simply,  there was too much $ëx in there like I was getting bored and the worst part was that the plot was really good so I wanted to know what happens in the plot but they just kept fùçkïñg.

Again my pick with the author is to make their books longer but in this one there was too much yk. 

Also the age difference was a bit difficult for me to overcome (17 years) so I guess that might be why it's not rated very high.

2.5 ⭐️ // Wasn't my favorite of the series. I'm all for age gap but kinda gave me the ick in this one.

Ruined Secrets is the 4th installment in the "Perfectly Imperfect" series and in this one we have a story about an unrequited love arranged marriage set up. There is something magical about the manner in which this author writes mafia romance. In this one we have a story that delivers in all the ways that matter. If you have a preference for more tradional mafia romance, then you definitely need to pick this one up. This ended up being the most satisfying read and I definitely feel like there needs to be more of this here. I really was interested in seeing how Neva Alta J would implement this one and I have to say that this is my favorite of the series so far. It was utterly delightful.

Ruined Secrets begins with our heroine being in love with the hero since he rescued her as a child from drowning. But he has been forbidden to her all these years since he is married and they have a age difference. But now she is nineteen years old, her grandfather, the capo, is dying, and with Luca's being divorce, their marriage is now arranged. Luca having just gotten away from his wife who was cheating on him and now he must take on another wife who is practically out of high school in his eyes but there is a connection between them, but when tragedy hits them, they will be forced to unite in a way they never imagined and find a love so majestic underneath the adversity they will face.

Ruined Secrets was such a powerful book and I am in awe of this author here. I just love every single moment that was delivered on this one. It was also so interesting seeing the way in which this author wrote this story especially in the aspects of "Amnesia". The actual set up of the Arranged Marriage was delicious. the way that these two banter was such so entertaining and lively and the heroine is NOT a shy wallflower. She is sassy and strong and has a cunning mind. She truly understands the mafia world and how to survive in it. I do think that even if you aren't a big fan of the amnesia trope that this one will work for you! The way that the author handled it was handled just right and it seemed to really balance in with the story overall.

The ending was perfectly played out! The author really built in the intesnity up to the climax and man that reveal and ending was STUNNING! I was so caught up in the machinations of the story, the build up of the relationship, that I was completely hooked into this one here.

She's twelve years older than his daughter and sixteen years younger than him and she's been in love with him since she first met him when she was six. He was twenty-two at the time. He always greeted her by catching and spinning her around when she jumped into his arms until she was thirteen.

I think I should mention that said daughter is seven. Which makes her 19 and him thirty-five when they get married.

The only thing that would've made this worse is if she had called him daddy. I would've puked on the spot.😶

Apart from the age gap, the book was good tho and I successfully deluded myself into thinking she was at least twenty-four because she acted really mature.

However, I hate it when the older person in the relationship tries to justify it with them being very mature for their age. Which he did. It didn't make it better that she was groomed (she even said so herself lol) to be a wife of a capo so she could adapt very easy to an age gap relationship. 🙃

The memory loss was good written and I liked how they dealt with it. (Not a spoiler he loses his memory in the prologue) It pushed the story a bit further instead of being an obstacle to overcome so it was rather interesting than boring and cliché haha

For everyone who gets uncomfortable talking about spicy scenes the review ends here - for everyone else:

The trigger warning threw me a bit off because it said "mild BDSM" but there wasn't any. He kept saying he had a special taste and that his ex avoided him for two weeks after he did it once with her and so he always had to hold back. I guess, I thought their sexual interactions would be a little bit more... I don't know... darker? I don't get why his ex would be afraid lmao

They had the most boring sex. It was so vanilla. There's nothing wrong with it but just say it. Why did he talk like he's gonna cut her or some other kinky stuff because in the end he did nothing? The "mild BDSM" was him not even tying her wrists but holding them with one hand above her head and he told her what to wear outside the bedroom as a dominance thing and she played along to humor him lmao

Maybe it's because I read some disturbing stuff but for it to be mentioned in the trigger warnings I just thought it would be a little bit more exciting😂

The only kind of kinkier preference was that she became addicted to having something inside her. We're talking about 24/7. It was a little bit weird but if they like it..🤷🏼‍♀️

At least she didn't cally him daddy or something like that because, again, I would've puked right then and there. Their age gap and history with each other is too problematic for that pet name (and on top of that it always gives me the ick because it reminds me of five year olds😐)

Empezamos de forma excelente, la personalidad de ambos era buena, hasta que llegamos a la pérdida de memoria, muchas escenas innecesarias, la personalidad de Luca desapareció por completo y solo quedó el Luca sin memoria.
