I have to say WOW!!! I just loved Never Seduce A Scot, the best of Maya Banks work so far!!! I just loved everything about this book. I was thrilled when I was able to get a copy and immerse myself in its pages. As far as historical romances go....this tops the list!!! The romance in this story was so precious and tender at times, I wanted to cry....the story line was full of surprises and flowed beautifully from beginning to end. The characters were very endearing and likeable. Graeme, was the perfect alpha male, but at the same time had a tender side. Even though he hates Eveline's clan, he always treats her with tenderness and care, it just breaks your heart, Eveline is just a sweetheart, and has been dealt a hard hand early in her life, however she is full of life and gives everyone the benefit of a doubt even though she is in 'Enemy Territory'. Eveline really appealed to me because she wasn't one of those heroines that fight every step of the way, she accepted her duty with dignity, and has such a sweet nature that you can't help but like her and you just want to cheer her on when she gets spine and stands up for herself too. Overall a powerfully written and emotional wringer, an amazing love story of sacrifice and forgiveness, and the true power of love.....A TREASURE TO KEEP!!!!

Ive read this twice and I NEVER reread a book. I just loved it so much. I just deplore that there wasn't more smut. I like his reasoning of course bc he thought she was daft and needs his care and can't decide for herself and didn't want to use her. It was just a bit frustrating how LONG it took to figure out she was just deaf.

Two families in a bloody feud, forced to join in marriage by order of the king. A beautifully misunderstood woman who suffered an accident that led to her loss of hearing. A gruff laird who must choose between hatred and love. This was such a powerful and beautiful book. I loved the romance, and I loved the characters. Something was missing for me to give it that coveted five star, it probably was the lack of attention to the details of the feud. We know that Graeme's father was killed by Eveline's grandfather (not sure how the timeline works on that), but we never get any details about why or how. I would have felt so much more engrossed in the plots that revolved around the hatred from this feud if I knew more about the feud. I would have loved a flashback scene maybe to when Graeme was younger and his father was still alive so that it could have made that connection feel even more powerful to me as a reader. Other than this, the romance was fantastic and I loved it!

4 stars ⭐️ it’s been awhile since I read a historical and this one has been on my tbr for so long! I thoroughly enjoyed it but I admit to getting a bit bored around 70%. It was just a bit longer than it needed to be. But a beautiful story and I’ll definitely be reading the next one!

I really loved this book a a listen. i have read so few highlanders romances. I also really loved the rep of deaf/ hard of hearing. I also really liked the main female character. She is my type of lead. I also loved how the community changed throughout this read. I also liked this hero a ton more then previous heroes i have read recently. I would def read more by this author in the future. It was quick listen and one that just put a smile on my face!!

So good. So freaking good. I highly highly recommend this book. It's so immersive and delightful. I never had moments where I was pulled from the plot line due to historical inaccuracies or flow issues which is so rare when I read. I think the story is so unique that if your a historical romance reader this is one you have to read!

Do I love this? YES

All the feels? Yes,

Did it make me want to cry? Yes

Did I happy cry though? 101% YES

Do I absolutely love Eveline & Graeme's relationship? Yes, yes, yes!!!

AH! My Lord loved this book I felt it portrayed the characters wonderfully,deals with a young women who is deaf but over comes the past tragic accidents to love and grow into the strong women she is by overcoming her fears. 

Have mercy Loved it has men who are warrior who must leave behind hate to create a new type of legacy for the future generations.

I couldn't decide between a 4 or 5, so this is more of a 4.5. I had such high expectations, since I love Maya Banks's other Highlander series so much, but this was just shy of meeting them. I mean, it was still really good, just not amazing.
Still, Graeme is one of the sweetest guys I have ever read. Sigh. I want my own highlander.
