Second read, seven years after the first. Still awesome. :) Onward to book one!

4.5 stars. Loved this. More Siuan/Moiraine please. Also could read way more of Moiraine/Lan adventures together, and loved hearing their origin.

I enjoyed this way more than I thought I would. Seeing Moraine and Siuan was just šš»

I will never shut up about The Wheel of Time. I left New Spring till last, mostly because I was in denial about actually having to finish the series. I definitely would recommend reading it earlier in the series but Iām happy just being able to be in the world. Give me all the tower politics in the world, I loved getting more of Moraine and Siuan, especially when they were so young and dorky - and LAN dear sweet young Lan. How he met Moiraine the first time is so funny. I loved seeing how characters that filled the mentor roles in the main series started out themselves. š I canāt really say anymore than I loved this book, as I love all of this series

I probably shouldn't have started with a prequel. But I did and it still is going on my to read list. Fantasy books can just all run together and generally there is too much fantasy war for me. Always some sort of magical boundary. Always some sort of fight between good and evil. I like these Aes Sedai things and I like these characters. It's written pretty well. So I guess I'm in.

lan and moiraine are my favorite characters so a book centering around them... perfection

Whoo!
