Science fiction is so often seen as giant spaceship and galactic battles, or powerful robots and mutants, but just rewriting a single rule of existence can have an immense impact on people's daily lives. 

My obsession with graves lies in a feeling they inspire in me, a feeling akin to poetry. They exist simultaneously in the living world, in the here and now, and outside of it. Occasionally they interact with visitors of the present, bygone era that they also belong to. This is why they mesmerize me. 

Science fiction can be about interplanetary travel, or global destruction, but sometimes, it can be about a little boy and a robot in his kitchen.
