I like this book :) very easy to read but also makes you want to read more - not boring because Nicholas made sure to include a bit of intrigue! I like this book a lot :) Glamour said that it is, “a romantic page-turner” which I would agree with!! 4/5

I guess I had anticipated a different story line, one that would revolve around Kyle a little more. It was good none-the-less, but there was a certain something missing from it I would say.

The book gave me a lot of different feelings and somehow made me hesitate on giving a 5. *because mean Nicholas Sparks made my favorite character died T T* but anyways, the story is so perfect that i can't not give a 5 for this book. So, on with the review. The story starts with Denise Holton, a single-mother, who was driving in an extremely horrible weather with her 4-year-old son, Kyle. They got into an accident because of a deer who was standing in the middle of the road. And because of this accident, she finally met Taylor McAden - a volunteer fireman. He also helped her find Kyle who was lost in the woods during the accident. Kyle has trouble speaking, so he doesn't really make friends with anyone. But it's different with Taylor. It seems that Kyle is instantly attached to Taylor since the day he saved him. This bond between the two of them made Denise happy, because no one had ever treated Kyle the way Taylor do. They started to fall in love with each other, but things started to change when Denise and Taylor visited Taylor's best friends: Mitch and Melissa. Mitch, is undeniably my FAVORITE character in this book. I will probably be more interested in Mitch and Melissa's love story rather than Denise-Taylor. Mitch is a lovable character, just from the way he say things. The way he cared for Taylor and his family. And so, Mitch lectured Taylor about love life (since Taylor have failed several love journeys, mostly because of Taylor's weird behavior). So, let's talk a little about Taylor. I imagined him as a big tough guy, but with a lot of dark mysteries inside of him. From beginning to end, the story of how his father died made me curious and grow to get annoyed with Taylor. In the middle of the story, his way of facing things seems childish - even though he's a 36 year-old man - which makes me annoyed. especially how he avoided Denise after they've been at Mitch's house. But somehow, after reading the last bit of the story, I kind of imagined if it happens to me. I would've gone a bit crazy myself. So, i tolerated him. :DD My favorite part of the book is everytime Kyle said "Hewwo, Money" which means "Hello, Mommy" , but he can't say it well. lol. he's just too cute. My least favorite part of the book is when Nicholas Sparks made Mitch into such a wonderful person that I love so badly, and then killed him near the end of the story. God, it feels like being thrown off a cliff. But because of this part of the story, Taylor finally realized some things he needed to do and became a better person in the end. I guess Mitch doesn't die in vain. :DD I'm starting to talk randomly right now, so I think i'll stop. *anyways, this is a good book. but a lot of feelings involved. ;D so decide for yourself.

Interesting and easy to read.

Very predictable, but still a lovely tear jerker nonetheless.

Amazing.. he truly is my favorite author. Many people dislike the killings, but honestly its real life. People can't Always stay in your life. The writing was simply amazing & like always, I'm delighted & thankful to continue reading his books.

** spoiler alert ** Even for a Nicholas Sparks book, this had a little tooo much man pain that can only be cured by the endless devotion of a good woman for my liking. I’m also getting tired of the repeated notion of one’s life being incomplete because they are unwed. I also predicted Mitch dying within a page of meeting him and was bitter about it the whole time because he 👏🏽 did 👏🏽 not 👏🏽 de👏🏽serve 👏🏽 it and it was only used to add to Taylor’s man pain. 🙄🙄🙄

3.5 stars. I loved this book, it was both heartwarming and heartbreaking. I think I would have enjoyed it even more if I was able to read it in a shorter amount of time. I was so busy that I kept putting it off, so maybe I'll reread it sometime when I have more time☺️
