Having read the first book, I was instantly interested in Kane’s brother’s story. I have to say, I think the second book was written much better than the first. It’s told from two point of views, Ryne’s and Melody’s.

Melody is sent to her information from Ryne regarding a picture he took, so she stalks him (literally) and poses as a journalist. She doesn’t get her boss’s obsession with him (the readers do), but sets out to do her task. He’s abrasive, but handsome and she finds herself drawn to him.

Ryne and his new packmates have settled into a new home, set on starting a new life. When Melody comes around, he’s instantly suspicious. He’s determined to keep his, and his brother’s pack, safe and that mean keeping their werewolf lineage a secret. Melody threatens to expose it, but he can’t stay away from her.

Catching feelings for the man, she refuses to turn in her report to her boss once she goes home. Of course, boss man isn’t happy and takes matters into his own hands.
