Craving Redemption

Craving Redemption

Asa and Callie had nothing in common. He was an Ace, raised in the club and loyal to it above all else. She was a high school student with braces on her teeth and a narrow view of the world. They should have never crossed paths. But when Callie decides to defy her parents, and Asa goes on an errand for the club, their lives collide. He saves her, and she mesmerizes him. They part believing they'll never see each other again. Neither could have predicted the chain of events they'd put in motion. Now the two have to navigate the dark waters of a relationship built on tragedy and need without drowning in guilt for things outside their control. How do you love someone when the worst decision of your life was the reason you met them?

Spoil Free Review: Rating: 4 Stars - Loved It Genre: Contemporary Romance Heat: Hot - Fan Yourself with a dirty talker Source: Purchase I was looking forward to Grease (Asa) and Callie story, but after reading a few reviews some were not fans of their story. This did not sway me not to buy Craving Redemption. It made me delay reading it. Two of the main things reviewers were not fond of were one her braces. For me I was so engross in the story line it was never a issue. Two the format of the story. It starts off present day, then past, then ends in present. Loved the format. Readers got to witness how their relationship started. Nicole Jacquelyn writing voice is so powerful in Craving Redemption I felt all their emotions, happy, sad and mad. Their relationship at times was bumpy and lot of it had to do with them having a long distance relationship. Some of it also had to do with Callie being too dependent on Asa. He was her savor in two incidents and one being a huge life changing one for her. I was right there along with her being dependent on him and falling in love with him. A particular scene is so powerful that still well after reading breaks my heart. Asa had a jerk moment but I see where he was coming from since she was so dependent on him he had to do what he did. Yes it was that good I was shedding a few tears with Callie. Loved her grandma. She plays an important roll in their story and added so much to it. She was strong will, a hoot and the love she has for her grandkids, Farrah (Callie best friend) was the best. I hope to get to see more of her in Farrah and Cody story next in Craving Absolution (The Aces #3). I could kick my self in the butt because all said and done I fell in love with Asa and loved their story. Wish I would of read it sooner. Always wanting a good biker romance novel. It's disappointing really. I like their love story more than Dragon and Brenna's but things just didn't add up so much for me. Also, the ending was too abrupt, the entire book led up to that ending but when I read it all I thought was "that's it??" I would've liked it more if the author focused less on their history together.
