This is the first time I read romantic suspense. I liked the premise of the book and I was curious about how the author will pull it off. 

The story line is simple. Elli and Rob meet and fall in love, and on their wedding night Rob reveals he's a killer. From then on the story jumps between the past before they married and the present when they're trying to scape the consequences of Rob's past actions. 

The plot is okay, nothing too intricate. The book has a very movie like feel. The author works in the film industry and this has clearly influenced her writing. But this a good thing in my opinion. The writing is simple and enganging and the story moves at the right pace. 

The characters are okay, again very movie like. There's as much character development as there can be in this sort of story. With respect to the romance, there isn't much of it. More like 'sexy' scenes. It's not really relevant for the story, it's just a part of it. 

My only 'issue' with this book (and it's not really an issue. Maybe more like a doubt, I don't know.) is the twists. Is there such a thing as too many twists in a book? Even towards the end, at the last 10 pages or so, the story takes unexpected turns. It got tiresome and I don't know, it was just weird. Or I'm weird. Whatever.

Anyway, Just Fall is a good book. It keeps you on the edge and you can't guess what coming next. I really enjoyed it.
