Nine Coaches Waiting

Most of her older books are five stars to me!!! Read this several times years ago. Want to go back and reread her stuff!!! Love her!!!

Having read the reviews, I expected a lot from this book and was sadly disappointed. I didn't like the style of writing at all, although the story had every element of the typical gothic story that I usually like: a governess, a rich family with sinister intentions, a dashing young man, a lot of romantic suspense and all those cliches. But I just couldn't stand the storytelling itself and I admit I skimmed through the last pages to get to the conclusion. Not a satisfying read.
