This starts out like a retelling of sleeping beauty and goes to a hell of a twist.
When your cursed to sleep for all of eternity. A hundred years go by then your awake to fine out the curse didn't go right. 
Have to do all she can will she break the curse before it too late or will she lose every one she cares about
 Can't wait for book 2.

I think what I enjoyed most about this book was the way I was lured into a false sense of security thinking I knew where the plot was going only to them WHAM be brought into a Sarah-J-Maas-like twist in the end. Really enjoyed it, though I’m not sure what was left open for a sequel… but I’ll certainly give it a try once it’s out! [I did receive an ARC of this, and am very appreciative of the author allowing me to read it!]

           From the synopsis, I was thinking the love interest was going to be the guy who Thorne woke up to holding a knife to her throat. So I did like the twist of it being the king who took over her kingdom and she killed him in self defense.

The story progressed very slowly, 50 pages in and I was kind of bored. But I liked the overall story so kept going. I am glad I did because it did get a bit better as it went on. 

Ronan and Thorne: I am not sure how I feel about them. Thorne knew she killed his father, and even though he was a horrible man. I cant understand how she could have sex with him while hiding such a big secret. I do wish there was more tension between them. It felt like since she killed his father and was a princess from another kingdom, they could've been more enemies to lovers. But, it moved very quickly and there wasn't much depth to their relationship in the beginning.

That ending! The reveal of Ronan being a Fae. I am wondering if Thorne is something else because already someone has mentioned she smells different. 

I am glad I stuck with it, and I am curious what will happen in book 2.
