I absolutely adored this story collection. Each story revolves around some kind of prophecy that uses gendered language and is fulfilled by someone who is on the trans spectrum. Some of the ways the prophecies are fulfilled are a complete surprise. Sometimes more surprising are the ways that they aren't fulfilled. My favorite story by far was "Early to Rise" because I have an inexplicable fondness for Sleeping Beauty tales and this one defeated the curse in a way that had my aroace heart fluttering with happiness. I highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend this absolutely amazing collection of fresh, creative, and magical stories that put trans heroes at the forefront.

I liked this, all of the stories were good. But all of them felt a bit thin, like I wanted more. Maybe I'm out of practice with short stories.
