No Words A Novel
Reviews

So a Meg Cabot book comes in and I drop everything I'm reading and pretty much everything I'm doing as well. It's safe to say I'm obsessed with the Little Bridge Island series and I'm always so excited to see a new addition to this adorable town. Jo Wright only agreed to attend the Little Bridge Book Festival because Will Price wouldn't be there, and yet it's five minutes after touching down on the island and everything has changed. I loved the will-they, won't-they of Jo and Will, but a few parts of the book fell short. I really wish we could have learned more about Jo, her back story, her writing, everything. We got bits and pieces throughout the book but I just wanted more. And although some people may like the splices of The Moment throughout No Words, honestly I just skipped through them and didn't find them at all necessary to the story. Overall this was a good book but far from the best Little Bridge Island or Meg Cabot read.

2.5/5. i don’t have any strong feelings about this book. it was alright but it was cringy in my opinion. i didn’t like how the cat language from jo’s books were put in, it was too middle school for me. and the ending? that was not satisfying at all.

idk if i like it or hate it tbh
the modern terms were so weird

i received an arc through netgalley. this book is cute but i feel like the main characters didn’t interact enough for the romance to be completely believable. if the author wanted to keep it mainly physical that’s fine, but then why did she not include the sex scene, just the morning after scene. overall i enjoyed the book but i felt like the main characters needed more interaction

It was an okay book. The romance was cute, albeit a bit underwhelming, and the main character, Jo, frustrated me at times because of her obstinate refusal to be in the presence of Will in the beginning. I still enjoyed "No Words" and had fun reading about its quirky characters. I especially adored Jo's cat phrases throughout the story.

Let me start of by saying I really wanted to love this one. The previous books in the series have been fun and charming but to me this one just didn’t quite get it. Jo spends so much time telling us about how much she hates Will, but then her feelings change almost immediately and there’s not really a good sense of why. It’s very insta-love but without any chemistry. I do adore Jo as a character and Will sounds beautiful if a bit dull, but I found myself uninterested in the story most of the time.

Send all the writer romance books my way, please. I love anything that gives a little peek behind the curtain into the writing world, and this was an adorable romance. I absolutely loved the setting; this was my first book in Meg Cabot’s ‘Little Bridge Island’ series and it was such a charming place. I can’t wait to go back and read the rest. The sun, atmosphere, and general feel the author created made this the perfect read to put you in a good mood! I always enjoy enemies to lovers, and this one didn’t disappoint. The chemistry between the two was perfect, and I was immediately drawn in to Will Price’s world, as was Jo. Even when she didn’t know it yet ;) The chapters of Will’s book that intersected the chapters was a brilliant move, and was a really interesting way to show another perspective. I was a liiittle disappointed by Will’s ‘’big secret’ though. It was a little anti climatic for me, but it did the job. If you are looking for your next read after Beach Read, defiantly pick this one up! Thank you to NetGalley and Little Brown Book Group for the ARC ♥
