I don't know who's more obnoxious and dumb, the dude who Kenshin beat up and now he's following him around, or the little kid who's bitching all the time and also follows Kenshin around.

Can't decide.. other than that it's fun to pass the time.

Takami Megumi, the daughter in a famous family of doctors, appeals to Kenshin for protection when she is pursued by grasping industrialist Takeda Kanryu who has learned Takami is the only one who knows the formula for Spider's Web, an opium-like drug that is better processed and costs half as much to produce.

It's ok.. this goes from fun to read to boring as fuck real fast, because of the same thing happening again and again and again...

Kenshin meets bad guys... bad guys say how much they're going to kill him and how fucking strong they are and what an army they have... Kenshin says nothing... Kenshin gets all riled up because bad guys hurt girls or innocent people or old people or something... Kenshin beats people up... 

All of that on a loop.

Meiji swordsman romantic story

I remember loving this one back when the Anime released, so what else to do than to read the manga from the beginning after all these years?!


Yeah!

Fun Samurai story back in Edo period Japan, which is not to say that it's a historical themed manga per se, but it involves around that, with some classy samurai moves that's OP superhero-type thing, and some of course cringeworthy dumb-looking scenes like every single manga out there. Oh well..

Rurouni Kenshin, Volume 07

I'm trying to understand how the majority of reading this series LOVES it, how is that possible?

It's becoming more repetitive and a chore to read with every volume after volume.

So, after a lot of thought and wonder, I came to the conclusion that all these fucking ratings are either people who hate me and want to see me frustrated and angry because of the injustice of something being so fucking crappy people somehow like it, OR, I'm in a parallel universe where good is bad and bad is good, which I enter ONLY when I go to rate Rurouni Kenshin vols.

So that's that.

Other than that, I would never recommend for you to read this volume or the last one and maybe not even the next one, because I love you and I don't want anything bad to happen to you, your eyes, your common sense and your intelligence.

Rurouni Kenshin, Volume 08

If there's one thing I hate is when heroes/villains announce the move they're going to do, the plans they have, the things they're going to do BEFORE they do them to their opponents. 

If there's another thing I hate is when heroes/villains explain the move they did, or analyze why they made that move and/or how they did that move.

And this manga right here is FULL of that shit. The only thing that's keeping me so far is the artwork and I thin I'm giving this one a try until Volume 10 and then I'm done with it for the time being. I doubt it's going to get any better or it's going to change any pace in the storyline of repetitive shit happening every single chapter after chapter the same thing again and again.

A glimpse of the new Japan if the mad ambitions of Shishio Makoto should succeed is revealed when Kenshin arrives in Kyoto and meets him at last...although the epic battle between them will have to wait. Pitted against Shishio's soldiers, Kenshin's reversed-edge sakabatô is broken--can it be reforged? Should it be reforged? For time has once again begun to flow, and violence once more washes over the land. Although Kenshin has abandoned the ways of the hitokiri and has sworn to take life no longer, a new assassin has now arisen--one whose taste for blood and thirst for power knows no bounds…

Rurouni Kenshin, Vol. 9

This is it for me. Wanted to reach at least Volume 10 but I'm done with this. 

It became a chore reading this a couple of volumes ago, so I might continue sometime in the future. 

Bad boring over the too dialogue, same shit happening every single arc, and the only thing that's good is the artwork.

Ruroni Kenshin is a seriously solid series. I'm not sure there are many that could withstand the test of time like this one. Even from the very first manga volume, it's clear that the characters are well defined and believable while the story is equally trustworthy and interesting. This series is definitely worth reading.

It began with a sin, committed by Kenshin, back during his bloody days as hitokiri or a government-sanctioned slayer of men. Although stopping most of the assassins who still come seeking revenge should be easy enough, what of the innocent--Sanosuke and Yahiko (Kenshin's comrades), everyone at Akabeko Inn (Kenshin's friends), Kaoru (Kenshin's...?). For once there was another love in Kenshin's life, one which--given his nature--must by definition have been tragic. Can Kenshin escape the shades of his past, and find the will to fight for the real world--for the living--for reality?!

Hahaha chapter 157 was hiilarious!!! I don't like that Karuo doesn't stand up for herself when it comes to Kenshin though... I mean all the characters know that they're destined for each other but nothing NOT A THING!!!!

When a possible weakness in Shishio's body reveals itself to Kenshin when he is nearly out of strength, Kenshin wonders if he should just give up and let history decide who was right and who was wrong.

Loved the ending to their battle and the aftermath! Hmmm lost to Kenshin? Clearly the next step is to take over hell! Whoooo shishio-sama you go kick the king of hells butt!!!
