Reviews

Sarah Ryan@sarahryan
A subtle read. We see a grieving widow in her mid 40s through the first 3 years after her husband dies, as she comes to terms with her new reality and starts to rediscover who she is. Many reviewers seem to bemoan the lack of action, and indeed judge the parenting. But this book evolves slowly in a realistic look at grief. It doesn’t always look how you expect and people / parents don’t always make every decision 100% correctly.

A beautifully written and touchingly observed portrayal of grief and moving on.
