From the author of “Mondo” and “Responde” comes a second collection of 10 short stories that portray the many different lives of Pinoys. In “Rading,” a jeepney driver is hustling to make his boundary and make it to a brothel, but his evening takes a different turn. In “Panalong Regalo ng Sistema,” an employee is locked in a battle with HR over his tardiness while rushing a report for his boss. Wilwayco also plays with the narrative form in two stories: “Harem,” an earlier work that blurs the lines between what’s real and what’s fantasy; and “Book Cycle,” in which the lives of the reader and the author intersect in one cab ride.
