Absolutely loooovvvvee this so much!!! Beautifully realized, gorgeously drawn, with humor, and heart. This story takes a well known story of Persephone and Hades and turns it on its head. When in the mortal realm, our Gods and Goddesses appear as you expect, but in Olympus and the Underworld they are modern and technologically advanced, and they are a rainbow of colors. Rachel Smythe doesn’t shy away from trauma, heartbreak, abuse or anxieties- nor does she glorify it. She wields a deft hand within these moments and the aftermath to give you a fully realized character study. You root for these characters and their growth. The dialogue is wonderful. So along with the story of Persephone and Hades, you also get stories of Eros and Psyche, Hera and Zeus, And all the Greek Pantheon. I must bring up the gorgeous art once more. From the cool blue blacks of the neon modern Underworld, to the sunny flower strewn Olympus, or our precious deep pink Persephone, Zeus and his royally purple self, Hera’s golden skin, And Hermes red skin with his wild hair- this is a gloriously colorful world to get lost in again and again. I cannot recommend this enough! Infinity ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I love this comic so much! The art style is very unique and mesmerizing, and the storyline that puts a modern twist to Greek mythology is just too damn good. This is by far my most favorite retelling of a love story between Persephone and Hades. I love everything about this comic. I like that the characters have lots of insecurities and flaws. I also like the #metoo subject that the writer has woven into the main storyline. Plus points to the author for raising awareness on some of the socially challenging themes and stigma. Really, this comic is pure gold. One thing that I found to be a kind of a setback is, well, Persephone herself. I still cannot decide if she's this strong, well-developed character, or just another troubled girl that tends to be very annoying more often than not. I'm looking forward to finding out how the story has progressed, and I'm so happy for the writer how this tale turns out to be a mega-success!

Do not buy this book! It is plagiarized from the OUAT fanfic Falling in My Lemonade by Exquisiteliltart. There is a good chance all her books uploaded on Amazon on the same day are also stolen.

Great read. Held my attention until the end. Couldn't put down. Moved at a steady pace. Realistic characters and story.

Omg this series is so good. Talks about abuse, sexual trauma, cheating and coping with it in a very easy to digest and emotional way that grasp you fast on the plot. Love that as we saw the horrible actions, we also see true friendships, communication and character empowerment. Persephone at the end of the season was such a power move and I love a lot of the characters and subplots.

5 fucking stars aren't enough! tw: sexual abuse, toxic relationships and domestic abuse. WARNING: If you haven't read it and don't want any spoilers, don't read further. My review has major or minor spoilers, so, you've been warned, hooman. This is my first webtoon comic, and I totally love it! Did y'all know that I'm a SUCKER for Hades and Persephone retellings? Well, now you know. I am. A bitch. The story is sweet, funny, deep, complex in some ways, and it feels like "human" if you will. I like that some important topics are discussed in here. The comic warns you about it. I honestly read those warning chapters under my risk, and I honestly cried a lot jsjsksjhdjkdhf. When Eros is telling Persephone that IS NOT HER FAULT, I broke (I was listening right where you left me by Taylor Swift so, I guess you can imagine me being a fucking mess, drowning myself on my tears and suffering, lmaooooo) because while I wanted someone told me that back when it happened to me (storytime for another day, lol), everybody blamed me for it. Like it was my fault. Everything. Persephone finds herself surrounded by many good friends and that makes me really happy, because we don't deserve to be alone all the time. Having good friends also heals and makes you feel important. Well, what else can I say? I laughed, I cried, I got angry, I was melting down with Hades, and hating many other characters *cough* I'm talking to you, Apollo fucking bastard *cough*. aLSO, MAYBE Y'ALL DON'T KNOW, BUT ARES IS MY FAVORITE FUCKING GOD (in second place is Hades, lmao) AND SEEING HIM WAS AMAZING. I WAS DROOLING FOR HIM THE WHOLE FUCKING TIMEEEEE. AND WHEN HE BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF ZEUS? PLEASE, ARES, MARRY ME, I'D SAY YES. Idk, but I think Ares despite of being the fucking god of war, he's kind of dork and sweet, I must protect my injured and stupid boy. Hades being a dog man? You're getting many points, sir. I'd be your Queen, SJKDFKDJHJDFG. Let me fangirl over my two favorite gods, please. Athena was *chef kiss* in. every. single. way. I also love Hera and many other powerful women here!!! I'm gonna read season 2 because I need to cry, laugh and see more of Ares with those gray pants, yessssssssss. previous review: I'M DROWNING WITH MY FUCKING TEARS. DON'T TOUCH ME, I'M SO FUCKING SENSITIVE RN 💀💀💀 rtc!!

I received this book from Member Giveaway in Library Thing. "The Great Gift" is a light contemporary romance about a woman disillusioned with love and men that leaves everything behind and accepts a job in the Australian outback where she finally finds true love. I thought the story had potencial but I did have a few problems with it. First of all, I didn't get the need for a prologue since it's just a summary of the first chapter. Then there is the main character, Alyssa, who we are told over and over again, is drop dead gorgeous but, somehow, only atracts creeps... And she can be annoying at times... I mean, she's been burned bad before and she still manages to fall in love at first sight for a man she just met? She's just met him and she's already contemplating a relationship with him? And she immediately starts asking him personal questions when she should be asking about the job... She keeps coming back and forth between being completely in love and man are scum. And the way she keeps snapping at everyone, people she just met, is irritating. I liked Kent better even though he was a tad too misterious. The ending also felt weird to me but I can't really explain why without spoiling it. But I did like when the villan reappears and I liked the motive behind his actions. Overall, I thought the story had potencial but the characters, especially Alyssa, needed a little more coherence.

This web comic is so successful for a reason. I was questioning whether I should start Season 2 yet. But I think I'll have to...and then suffer along with the other fans every week :/

WOWZA What a whirlwind. Smythe brilliantly reimagines the Hades + Persephone myth, and flawlessly interweaves the other mythologies into her retelling. Characters I've known since I became obsessed with Greek Mythology after watching Disney's Hercules. I literally cried. My heart skipped. I couldn't get enough. And the ART. Man on man, if for nothing else, read this for the art. It's stunning.
