Not-Knowing The Essays of Donald Barthelme
Not-Knowing is the second posthumous collection of Barthelme's work; like the first collection, The Teachings of Don B., it brings together many shorter pieces now almost impossible to come by. Here are the author's thoughts on writing; his observations on art, architecture, film, and New York City; eccentric and illuminating meditations on topics as diverse as Superman III and Iran-Contra; and five interviews with Barthelme, including two never previously published. This rich collection will prove a treasure for the Barthelme fan and, for the uninitiated, a delightful introduction to his work.
