First, this really is a lot more than an age gap romance and really the whole message I got from it is no matter what age you are you can find or rediscover yourself. I really like the honesty and realness of this book even if I couldn't relate to where either the hero or heroine was at in their life didn't mean I couldn't get something out of it. I enjoyed the various relationships and the emotional battle with grief and the different forms it can take. I loved Kael and I think he and Elsie together, despite their 12 years age difference made a lot of sense. Although on the random being a marketing major in school and seeing these two competing against, and Kael using various smart marketing was kinda fun for me.

Jewel E. Ann’s books are like a soothing balm for my soul. Very few authors can consistently get me invested in a story and characters. I’m not even kidding. Whenever I read a book by Jewel, I always get to a point that I feel an ache in my chest at the idea of the story ending, or something devastating happening, anything that will bring me down from the high of reading a great book.

But Jewel always, consistently, comes through and by the end of every book I’ve read by her, I am utterly smitten.

Elsie and Kael’s story is no less, no different than that. I love that this has Jewel’s signature, no holds barred style, while also exploring love and marriage and relationships in a deeper and more realistic manner than most romances do.

Kael and Elsie are truly wonderful for each other and I may have my feelings crossed that we get a little mention of them in a future story, because I need to know the answer to that last question, too! 

Do yourself a favor and pick up one of Jewel’s books, and I really mean any of them! I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
