Really like Alison Roman's personality which shines through her videos and also shows in her cook book. However, reading her longish prose is a little less palatable than watching her on screen. I also prefer to see each step of the recipe process as a noob cook so I'm not faulting her recipe book in particular but I would rather stick to the recipes she has videos of, and will probably not buy this book. I borrowed it from an e-library. Still, it's a nice book to flip through and saved some of the recipes for... in the future. Maybe not today. :)
