I really wanted to push through but the writing style is just so irritating it grates me.

 alternates between dual POV, and the narration is sort of a constant train of thought that just chugged an energy drink. So we’ll have them talking to themselves in a paragraph, but the one paragraph somehow considers 3 different trains of thought that all are said the same way. And if a character walks into the room or starts to speak, it literally cuts off with a “—“ to interrupt the paragraph. 

It's really just over using over emphasis in a way that is exhausting
