How to Honeymoon Alone

This is a cute, fluffy beach read. It isn’t amazing by any means but is an entertaining beach/vacation read. 

Eden and Phillip are both on their respective honeymoons alone. They meet when Phillip decided to join Eden for dinner the first night of their trips because Eden was getting the last table. I thought the way Phillip and Eden met was really cute. I also enjoyed reading about all of the adventures the took together around Barbados. I liked that it was very much a vacation book with minimal drama. 

However, I think some of that cost better character development. Both Phillip and Eden said they were their “vacation selves” throughout the book, which is fine, but we never really got to see who they really are. I think we got glimpses, especially at the beginning, but even then, Phillip and Eden had both been dealing the fallout of their respective engagements ending. I thought Phillip was a good character because he was closed off and grumpy, but those layers started getting peeled back with Eden, and I think they were peeled back appropriately. It didn’t happen too fast. 

Phillip and Eden had some cute romantic moments throughout.

Being tablemates at the resort leads them to being paired up for all of the honeymoon-esque expeditions and experiences. Eden is such a bright, shiny, determined person.  She's decided Phillip needs more cheering up than she does and she's just the person to make him quit fretting about business and go with the flow.

The story is told through Eden's POV but there is a bonus chapter at the end which gives Phillip's POV on a few things!

Sweet, sexy, funny with a slow burn between two broken-hearted strangers, dealing with love and honeymooning couples wherever they go.  I volunteer as tribute to read Eden's book if she ever gets around to publishing the thing LOL  Ideal beach read.
