I really did enjoy listening to this, the narration was amazing. The story itself was really heartwarming and heartbreaking. My review has spoilers!

However, I think this was not something I needed right now, considering how low I already felt. My review might be biased because of that. The whole time I just kept thinking, "God can they catch a break?" It was just one struggle after another and in the end when all of it came down to a simple misunderstanding, a misunderstanding that was born because of the insecurities Pippa had; I thought that would be my last strand. But NO, Pippa just HAD to forget Steve.

Everything leading up to that point, I was hoping she'd wake up and they would sort everything out, I just hoped she would not die with her thinking Steve cheated on her. But holy shit, the ending was far worse. I mean they've been through enough!

One thing that bothered me was Pippa and Steve being fixated on Pippa getting pregnant, and that being their ONLY chance at having a baby. Considering this was set in 2019, I believe that was a little off-putting for me.

Overall, I would have enjoyed this book way more than I did, had I been in a better place. It's definitely worth a read for everyone into this genre.

Pippa has a car accident and ends up in hospital fighting for her life. Steven, her devoted and beloved husband stands by her, feeling the ground being pulled from under his feet, completely lost and desperate. The doctor and nurses convince him to talk to his wife, in hopes that it will help her, and he starts to tell her several episodes of their lifes, but he still wonders why and how Pippa had the accident.
She's like a hurricane, he's like a gentle breeze, they couldn't be more different, but they fall deeply in love with each other. But life isn't always easy and loved ones die, and she has several miscarriages, which breaks her and makes her feel insecure and that she's not enough for her gentle and caring husband.

As soon as I started to read this book, I felt the need to get quickly to the end to find out what happens with both Steven and Pippa, and it didn't disappoint, although it may appear a bit vague it says it all. I liked this book, but somehow I felt that sometimes the authors spent to many time describing things or situations that didn't add much to the story. It's an heartbreaking story, but it's also a story about hope, love and second chances.
