DNFed. I'm sad about this. It started strong and kept me captivated for almost 80 pages. But then somewhere along the lines I lost the message Pastiloff is supposedly wanting us to grasp. Connection, listening, living our truths instead of obsessing over lies we tell ourselves...those are great messages. However, as she continues her story she's being honest about her disorders, disabilities, and toxic behaviors...but is filtering the story heavily nonetheless. She starts talking about her recovery but in such a way that left me confused. Suddenly yoga and the righr medication changed her into someone who takes better care of herself and be in a healthy relationship? Considering how severely unhealthy her life was I'm struggling with believing that's all it took. Furthermore, she talks about having a lot of connections with people before she started her yoga workshops but with the way she describes her behavior I have no idea when or how she would've made these connections with people. 
Ultimately, I decided to stop reading very close to the halfway point because it felt like either Pastiloff is lying about how bad her life was before she found yoga and proper medication or she's hiding many important parts of her recovery journey. Which is a pity, because she has some good pieces of wisdom in there. Maybe she gets more honest later in the book. I hope so. But I couldn't drag myself through any more of her story of knowing she was doing things wrong and intentionally refusing help and never really digging deep outside of that story. THAT story isn't good for my own mental health journey.
