Okay... Let's see how this review goes.

As the synopsis says, Emma is asked by her father to help reform Cooper's image and help him with the campaign.

That being said, this started happening from chapter 9. The first 8 chapters were there to, I guess, set the tone of the story. I just wonder why it took so long. At the moment, I remember loving those first few chapters. It wasn't until all the campaign strategies started happening that I started to lose interest, mainly due to the fact that I felt it kept being dragged. In my opinion, I think it could have ended way earlier than it did. Because of this, I got bored.

Onto the characters, which I enjoyed a lot. First, we have Emma. I love how in-control, organized, and quirky she is. I loved being inside her head. Then, we obviously have Cooper. Being honest here, I didn't feel much for Cooper. I felt more for the other two guys in this foursome than I did Cooper, which says a lot since Cooper is the male MC.

Finally, we have Nick and Henry. Man, I loved these two! I'm pretty sure I kept reading this story for these two characters so I'm super eager to read their story! They were hilarious! And personality wise, I started falling for both. Henry is the one that's more put-together and has a good head on his shoulders. Nick still likes the "dating" scene, if you know what I mean. But both of them are loyal to a T. I can't wait to read how Henry gets ruffled and looser with whoever he ends up with, and for Nick, I canNOT wait to see how he gets put in his place and watch him fall hard!

The "romance": Emma and Cooper used to be friends. Things happened in their lives that pushed Emma away for the sake of her heart. And now she can't really stand Cooper but she at least tolerates him. I mean, I feel like this was more of a Women's Fiction (the genre Romance should be taken out of this book). Emma and Cooper never acted on their feelings until the very end. The majority of the story was mostly focused on the campaign and Emma's job. So if you think you're getting some Romance here and there with this one, think again.

Overall, On the Corner of Love and Hate started out strong for me, but lost its strength along the way. It kept being dragged when it could have ended sooner. Despite this, will I continue the series? Yes! I need to know Nick's and Henry's stories!!!

Enemies to lovers is one of my favourite tropes, and for 50% of the book, you get that and it comes through perfectly. From that point everything drags and drags and drags. It’s such a shame because the hate between Emma and Cooper is real. There’s also so much flip-flopping with each of them it gets frustrating. There was also a lot filler about the local town and goings on, some of which I did skim as I didn’t care for it.
Also, for a story that is so focused on Cooper’s campaign, I don’t understand why she never investigated the paper and source of misinformation, as was foreshadowed by the governor’s email early on. The way it was solved was SO unsatisfying.
I also would’ve liked the relationship of convenience aspect to have been played up more, as well as a whole heap more romance!
I really wanted to like this book, the enemies to lovers aspect, as well as the spin on relationship of convenience should’ve been fantastic, but it fell flat.

I'm super excited about Nina Bocci releasing romance book! And I freaking enjoy it so much. You won't be disappointed at all. It has angst with a mix of sassy and romance in the mix. And don't even get me started with Emmanuelle and Cooper. They are quite a pair, hot and sassy with each other. Let's get talk about their persona.
Emmanuelle is the driven person that she achieve her goals in her career path. She loves helping her hometown especially in the politic. And it came no surprise that her father wants her to help recover Cooper image for the public eye. But that's going to be a problem. Emmanuelle and Cooper are nemesis with each other. But underneath their hatred with each other, they have hot passion for each other but they are kinda coward about comforting their feelings. 
Cooper is well-known for his lady skills. But that will be a problem for the public when you are running for office. He needs to straight out his image but it's going to be difficult because Emmanuelle and him do not get along. But secretly, Cooper has strong feeling for her but he can't commit since he is nervous about spilling his feelings. 
On the Corner of Love and Hate will bring two enemy together and it is going to explosive with each other. Definitely pick up a copy.

This debut novella in the Hopeless Romantics Series takes place in the idyllic town of Hope Lake, PA. This novella follows Emma Peroni as she helps Cooper Endicott prepare for his mayoral campaign, all while exploring her feelings with him and the baggage that accompanies that. Having both grown up in Hope Lake and both been children of political families, they were inseparable during childhood. We later learn that things changed during college, as often happens, and we are waiting to see whether there is a friendship left to salvage, or possibly anything else. 

What I really liked about this novella is how much it focuses on the campaign itself and not just the romance involved because it gave our heroine a sense of purpose and meaning outside of her romantic life, making it much more relatable to the modern-day female. It also showed us that finding herself was first and foremost the most important thing. I also enjoyed the vulnerability of both characters as it allowed us to understand their full story from beginning to end. 

Reasons why I gave this 4 stars: 
*At times it seemed like some of the banter was a bit intense; however, I came to realize that this was merely a manifestation of Emma's personality and learned to appreciate that as I got farther along in the book. 
*The author did a great job of describing Hope Lake and the outside characters to us; however, I would have liked to see a little more descriptions of the town as well as the other personalities. The majority of the book followed Emma and Cooper and following some of the other key characters might have made it a touch more personal.

This was an adorable political rom-com and I really enjoyed it. I thought Emma and Cooper's relationship was so relatable for anyone who's been in that weird "Will they? Won't they?" stage with someone. Their dynamic, especially with their two other best friends Nick and Henry, was such a highlight for me. I really liked the setting of this small Pennsylvania town that felt so cozy, and the humor was really witty and felt like real bickering, but loving, friends. The only downside for me was some scenes, especially that plot point where the main character gets sick so the potential love interest drops by to take care of them, I've seen numerous times before and in slightly better ways. Other than that, I liked this and felt myself rooting for not only Emma and Cooper's relationship, but the election itself. If you're looking for a sweet fun read, then check this one out.
