“If you were mine, Ruby Grace, your dreams wouldn’t come second to anything.” ⠀⠀ I love books like this. A romance read but with a strong feeling of the characters really finding themself and getting to know what they want. And especially when two characters help eachother with that, this story really highlighted how helping eachother find yourself is so beautiful. Friends to lovers, slow burn and so cute. This small town romance book just had everything I wanted. It was easy to get lost in it and lose focus on everything else. It was such a sweet read. Adorable!

this 2 star rating is on me because i didn’t know it had the falling-in-love-with-someone-while-engaged-to-someone-else trope and i hate that trope

4.75 stars.. This was so heart breaking and really awesome at the same time. I just really loved it and couldn't put it down. I'm so excited to read more from this wonderful talented author. And here is a quote I really liked from the book: I cried because I’d miss her. I cried because I’d never wanted to let someone go as much as I’d wanted to keep them forever. But I didn’t cry because I was sad... I cried because I was thankful... I was thankful I could finally show her what I’d wanted to all along — that she could be in love and be loved while she had a life and dreams of her own. I was thankful for the two-week vacation I had coming up in a month so I could fly to Utah and spend Christmas with her. I was thankful for my family inside the house behind me, for the group I had to support me while Ruby Grace was gone.. And more than anything, I was thankful I’d found the woman I was sure didn’t exist... More than a thousand miles couldn’t separate us — not really. She was still here with me, and I knew she took me with her, too.
