On the Way to the Wedding
Reviews

I honestly would have given this a higher rating if the book did not start out how it did. I found it really hard to get into the story, I didn't like how Gregory was "in love" with Hermione in the beginning. I thought it was kind of a waste of time. But I really got roped in after Gregory and Lucy kissed in the hallway. Honestly really loved it except for the beginning.

** spoiler alert ** Gregory and Lucy's story was slow at first, but I soon got swept up in their world, and all the drama. I admire Gregory's faith in his love. The second epilogue was quite dramatic.

Finally, I have completed the Bridgerton series. In summary, I can't recommend the men's books as much as I can the women's--except for Anthony's which was the best. Netflix does a great job of creating more build-up, tension and drama and I can't wait to watch them all <3 Ranking: 1. Anthony 2. Hyacinth 3. Francesca 4. Eloise 5. Daphne 6. Benedict 7. Gregory 8. Colin

Gregory made up for the disappointment of his brothers

This one was so wild to be honest. It started off with a bang and didn’t stop from there. It’s crazy to see how many different stories can be given in this series and they are all so entertaining. They are honestly one of my favorites in the series. I honestly love Lucy and Gregory and enjoyed their story so much. There was so much to it and I really liked it all the way through.

really enjoyable storyline. gregory and lucy's story was very entertaining and had lots of great drama especially towards the end of the book. however, i do need quinn to pay for my therapy bill after that last epilogue.

It was a really good conclusion to the series. I enjoyed it

this is the only one in the series that had me squealing into my pillow and kicking my feet so i have to rate it high also NINE KIDS???? Y'ALL ARE CRAZY
damn why am i kinda sad there aren't anymore bridgerton books :(

That ended was unexpected but like I guess interesting?

I loved this book!! Julia Quinn did a wonderful job concluding this series, ensuring that no stone was left unturned. Gregory and Lucy's story is heart-wrenching and engaging, leaving you hanging on the edge of your seat. This book does a great job at developing complex plot lines and character developments. I would definitely reread this book and look forward to reading the prequels and sequels to this series.

Loved the added layer of the story with Lucy and the action of the hero and heroine.

I must say that I was expecting to not like this book. I don’t like it when he falls for her best friend first, and yet… this book was truly and utterly pleasant. Nine children though, it ought to be unbelievable

I do love Gregory and Lucy, but I gotta say. Dang. I hope I never read such a dramatic tale of events ever again. I'm EXHAUSTED.

3.5

Why I read this book: Speak now or forever hold your peace! This book inspired me to: Stir up some drama when the nuptials begin to bore. Favorite Quote: “Be with me, Lucy Abernathy. Be my love, be my wife.” Favorite Moment: Colin and Gregory sitting in a tree Summary: Gregory Bridgerton believes in true love and he believes he has found it when he lays eyes on Miss. Hermione Watson. In an effort to win Hermione’s favor, Gregory forms an alliance with Hermione’s best friend Miss. Lucinda Abernathy. Over the course of this alliance, however, Gregory and Lucy might find that true love does not lie with Miss. Watson, but with each other. Review: Gregory Bridgerton is the romantic amongst the Bridgerton brood, how can he not be when his seven siblings have all met and married their soulmates? Lady Lucinda Abernathy is the practical best friend of Miss. Hermione Watson, a maiden who many a gentleman has claimed to have fallen in love with at first sight. Gregory Bridgerton finds himself amongst the ranks of these gentlemen when he falls for Hermione when he catches one glimpse of the back of her neck. Over the course of an alliance to make Hermione look Gregory’s way instead of a most improper tendre she has for an employee of her fathers, Gregory and Lucy grow closer to each other and Gregory begins to doubt his love at first sight. I loved Lucy as a heroine; her sense of duty is in conflict with her true desires and this offers a beautiful contrast between the practical Lucy and the romantic Gregory. Violet and Gregory’s conversation about his relationship with his brothers was touching and also served as a real turning point for Gregory which was excellent plotting. It was great getting to see Kate and Anthony- Viscount and Viscountess Bridgerton through Gregory’s eyes. Gregory and Kate had an adorable bond and Anthony is interesting to see from Gregory's point of view - always bordering the line between an older brother and father figure. The climax is an epic showstopper level dramatic and I loved every bit! What the dramatics show is how far Gregory Bridgerton is willing to go to earn his girl and his happy ending. Gregory and Lucy suit each other more than I can describe; Lucy needs a little drama in her life and Gregory a little practicality. Lucy and Hermione’s friendship was fine for lack of a better word: I didn’t really care for Hermione’s character because it seemed to me that she comes off as incredibly vain and self-absorbed. I didn’t feel that she cared as much about Lucy as Lucy did for her. I liked having a truly unredeemable villain of a character who actually put the characters in harm's way. It did take me a little while to really get invested in this story. I think it took me some time to understand Lucy as a character as she’s rather complex, and I admit that Gregory’s infatuation with Hermione was difficult to get through. However, once I was in tune with the flow of the story, I was so invested that I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough!

First part didn't really work for me (Hermione was so meh), but it got better later. Loved that Lucy said "No" when Gregory crashed her wedding xD

Different plot line than we saw from the others in the series in an exciting way. Kept me on the edge of my seat until the very end

DNF Couldn't get into it. It was too confusing, honestly just reading the synopsis of it was confusing. It was really too bad because I always loved Gregory but I just couldn't.

Honestly this series dragged

I loved this book with my whole heart! I can't explain it, i have no words to describe how Gregory and Lucy's love story is dear to me. It's definitely my favorite bridgerton book!

um, i guess this was one of the better ones? though julia quinn turns bizarrely dark for the series towards the end. wasn't very impressed with the tying to a water closet either but otherwise gregory and lucy's dynamic was one of the more compelling ones.
Highlights

"Anthony was a good father to me." Gregory said it because he knew it would bring her joy, but he also said it because it was true.

And at that, somehow, she was angry. Really, truly, beastly angry. She didn't want to be commended for knowing how to settle for second-best. That was like winning a prize for the prettiest shoes in a footrace. Irrelevant and not the point.

Gregory made a mental note to give Kate an extremely ordinary gift for her next birthday. Rocks, maybe.
help???

Something caught in her throat, and Lucy suddenly felt far too alone in her ignorance. He knew, and Hermione knew, and the poets claimed they did as well. It seemed she was the only lost soul, the only person who didn't understand what love was, who wasn't even sure it existed, or if it did, whether it existed for her.
wait im not supposed to RELATE to these characters WHAT

"Where is the scintillating Lord Bridgerton?" he asked.
"Oh, somewhere. I don't know. We'll find each other at the end of the day, that is all that matters."
clenches fist Kanthony.......
