I have made no secret of the fact that Tessa Dare is all time favourite author and while this series wasn't as good as her later series, I still really enjoyed it. 

As I writer, I love seeing how much she has grown as a story teller since these books. These were a little long and not as well paced as her later series, leaving me stalling a bit as I read them. They also had a slightly more serious tone to them and they weren't as witty as her others. 

All in all, though, I loved the characters in this. Three men - unwittingly thrown together who should hate each other, but then become firm friends - and the three women who love them. I loved following each story though I think Julian and Lily's was my favourite as I had been looking forward to it from the first book. 

A good read from a great author.

2.5 maybe? honestly not my fave tessa dare novel, but alright nonetheless

Regency romance may just be my new favourite indulgence. 

The stubborn, misunderstood duke who proves to be complex and kind. The leading woman who puts her foot down and for good reason, all while falling for the duke. The steam, the softness, the DRAMA.

I love it all. 

I need more immediately.
