I have read this once a year for a very long time. It is not a "happy" book, but then Solzhenitsyn never is. But man, I am totally blown away by the writing and the emotions that is conveyed in this book. It is one of my top 10 books of all times.

I want to give this book a full 5 stars because it was so insightful of the hardships people had to go through in the camps. It really resonated with me and made me appreciate what I have inlife more. The writing style although dull and boring only adds onto the feeling of repetitiveness that the prisoner experience. The language techniques and themes are all very interesting to explore, I could probably read this book 5 more times focus on different themes everytime and learning something new.
