Well Onley James has DONE it again! I absolutely adored this book. It was superb in every way. In this one we get Avi's story. I was so ready for his book especially after Asa got his book and I was curious if we would get more insight into their connection as twins. I also was curious to see how Avi and Felix would be together and I actually really loved this. The author really got creative with some of the character dynamics. I really was so drawn into their dynamic and there was so much depth to their story. And both Avi and Felix are NOT what they appear on the surface. There are so many layers to their individual personalities that the author really made shine through in this one. The romance was really well done and if you love high spice, then you can depend on this author to deliver a full story that is beyond satisfying. We of course get a solid mystery and some bad people that they get to here haha I swear each time they never stop being "creative" in how they kill these bad peeps. I did love how passionate Felix was in going after these men that raped this girl. I loved that he was so determined to see it through. In ways that the main family group, just wasn't. I also really enjoyed seeing how the four of them (twins with their partners) got along together. And the ways that the twins would do "parent trap" to their partners was pretty hilarious, but it didn't work. Still they don't stop trying lol We also get a build up of the chemistry that is building between Thomas and Aiden so I am very curious where the author will take their story.

Overall I had a blast with this one and eager to continue with these books. Just loving this writing style of this author.

Lover of Romance

It features a dirty talking, brutally vicious killer and a sharp tongued murderous fashionista who are both too stubborn for their own good. As always, there’s gratuitous violence, very dark humor, enough blood to film the final scene in the movie Carrie, and enough heat to melt your panties. This is book 5 in the Necessary Evils series. Each book follows a different couple.

these books are what i imagine doing hard drugs feels like.

i definitely enjoyed avi's story more than asa's, man has BIG golden retriever energy, plus the feral cat energy from felix? truly adorable. i'm on the fence though with my rating a few days after finishing it. i think there was so much buildup to avi and felix's story that it was a total rush to finally read, and i love them both a lot. but i sorta found this particular book's case to be the weakest of the whole series, and that part has been a huge thing that brings the enjoyment for me. also i think due to the nature of this relationship having been already teased in previous books, i almost wished there was more slow burn, we hit the ground RUNNING page 1. and i think i only felt that negatively because the specific case in this book felt so weak. i haven't minded the fast nature of all the previous relationships in the books but i felt like the investigation and unfolding of the cases were what balanced it. and this one felt off.

also on the side, i totally get teasing/planning for the final book with aiden and thomas but i'm really on the fence with that one. it was interesting to see more of them through the eyes of other characters in this book but i also was like damn we're talking about aiden and thomas AGAIN like i just don't really care and probably won't until we actually read from their perspectives directly, soz. felt weirdly forced to me.

and not to be horny on main (i mean i AM posting that i read these books so that ship has already sailed) but like. don't tease me with avi and felix switching and then not give it. like. taps foot impatiently?? hello?????? i would have literally lost my last remaining braincell if avi had bottomed, we deserve this, let them be switches RATTLES THE BARS OF MY CAGE

esta pareja me gustó, más porque felix es toda una fiera -es interesante porque avi lo llama "gatito" y ajá- mientras que avi es todo un golden retriever asesino.

tal vez acá los cameos de los demás hermanos desminuyeron notablemente, pero igual estuvo muy lindo todo.

aspectos que resaltar?

tremenda la dinámica de avi y felix, la escena de felix escribiéndose su nombre en el pecho de avi vivirá por siempre en mi cabeza

la relación de zane y felix? me encantó, y más porque felix es el defensor número uno de zane, y qué divertido que hicieran la comparación de "Noah teniendo su vodka de apoyo" a "Zane teniendo un Felix de apoyo" sencillamente aMO

la escena de noah, zane y felix estaban comiéndose con los ojos a los chicos, y fantaseaban con ver a thomas sin camisa !!!! morí

podemos hablar de que ahora noah, zane, lucas y felix llaman a thomas su pAPÁ !!! nah todo muy turbio porque todos tienen un crush con él pero igual es lindo que sean una familia al 100 %

en fin, ya quiero leer el libro de archer, pero el libro que en verdad necesito es el de aiden porque no puedo con toda la tensión que hay entre él y cierto hombre millonario *cof cof*
