Winnifred Eaton, a Chinese-British Canadian wrote this book under a Japanese pseudonym, Onoto Watanna. The story is set in Calgary, Canada, where we meet Bully Bill, a foreman who worked in O Bar O ranch, and his friends Hootmon and Sandy.
