yes, this series is absolutely sooooo very “episode”, so very cliche, but sooooo very addicting. TWO YEARS LATER and I still cannot stop thinking about this book. it is about a non-human (technically, made of light) species. One of them, the main character, falls in love with a human, the main female character. it is about their relationship, their world vs earth, and… I won’t ruin the rest. But my obsession with these characters is otherworldly. The covers are awful hence why I listened to the audio books but the books are chef kiss to say the least.

OMG! I CAN’T BELIEVE IT!
 I just can’t believe it!
 This series is OVER!
 I don’t know what…. I hate when amazing series like this ends.
 But I’m thankful the ending was just right; it was perfect.
 There was nothing wrong, it ended beautifully, and it was just RIGHT!
 It’s like with TV series endings… Producers just give us really weird and crappy endings, leaving viewers with this sense of, what I’d like to call nothing. You just sit there and wonder “What am I supposed to feel right now? I don’t know…”
 Well, you’ll be glad to know that Opposition IS FREAKING AMAZING! and everyone needs to read this series, because it’s so good! and it’s really one of my favourite YA series. Maybe even next to Harry Potter.
 
There have always been Luxen on Earth.
 But now they’re invading; now the world is going to change.
 When the Luxen from outter space come to invade Earth they are an organized threat to society.
 Now, Katy and Daemon are on the run from his kind, the Luxen, and will do no matter what it takes to stop them.

My body, was totally not prepared for this series to be over. I’d so many good things, but just didn’t want it to be over. Just like how I didn’t want Harry Potter to be over.
 THIS FREAKING SERIES NEEDS TO BE MOVIES!
 Just nuff said. There’s so much content and so much to love about the characters and the storyline, it just feels right. They keep trying to turn YA books into movies like The Hunger Games, Divergent, The Maze Runner, etc etc, WHAT HAPPENED TO ALIENS!? Good old fashioned mother freaking aliens! If they were anything like the Luxen, Arum and Origins, I would be SO DOWN to see it in theaters. You know, provided Hollywood did a good job.
 
I seriously, don’t even have anything bad about this series.
 It’s just amazing. The main characters are amazing, the side characters are amazing, the bad guys are amazing, even the characters you think are bad guys but are good guys but are somewhere in the middle and you don’t really know what side they’re on….ARE AMAZING. Seriously, even the bad guys are amazing and convincing. I mean that from the previous book Origin and into Opposition.
 
It’s very rare that I find books where I like side characters/reoccuring characters just as much as mains.
 And seriously.
 I’m pretty sure I said this in my Origin review but…TEAM LUC ALL THE WAY! OMG I HEART THIS KID SO MUCH! Can he be my little brother? Like seriously, I would just eat this kid up! I would probably hate how much smarter he is, and he’d probably get on my nerve, but he’s amazing! Archer grew on me, and Dee is just…amazing. (Dawson and Beth got their own book, and I love them but we’re talking about reoccuring characters now). And seriously, even the ‘villains’ in this book are amazing.
 
There is just something about Katy and Daemon. All this bs is happening, all around them, and they still manage to have time to be teenagers (or at least Jennifer L Armentrout writes them that way). We have to remember that these two are only seventeen/eighteen, and they have the weight of the world on their shoulders. Talk about pressure. But Daemon never loses his playful side and Katy never loses her spunk. I like that in novels, I like to remember how old characters are because characters need to act their age.
 
“Got it.” Snagging up my jeans, I pulled out one of the foil wrappers. Oddly enough, though, as I glanced over at her, seeing her on the bed, waiting for me, only me, I almost forgot how to put one on.
 That would’ve been awkward.
 “Oh my God,” she said, laying her head back against the bed. Amused exasperation colored her tone, but she looked like a damn goddess positioned like that. “It’s like you have a special skill when it comes to finding condoms. Serious. They must just fall out of the sky whenever you’re around.”
 
But there are times when….they just surpass their years and love each other so much. And really, it’s the kind of love that I want – that every girl deserves.
 
“Kat.” He uttered my name like it was some kind of prayer, and then he pressed a kiss against the skin behind my ear. “I broke every rule of my kind to heal you and keep you with me. I married you and burned down an entire city to keep you safe. I’ve killed for you. Did you think I’d forget what you mean to me? That anything in this world – in any world – would be stronger than my love for you?”
 
I absolutely, love, love how Jennifer L Armentrout can write two dialogues of two different characters and I’m never questioning who’s perspective it is. I mean, it does help that she mentions it at the start of the chapter, but even if she didn’t, I think it would be fairly easy to differentiate between Katy’s POV and Daemon’s POV. Some authors I find have difficulty giving two different voices to their characters when writing a book with multiple POVs. Armentrout does this FLAWLESSLY, and I absolutely enjoy being in Katy’s head as well as Daemon’s.
 
Amazing beginning; amazing ending. I, like many others I know, wish for novellas or something, which would be nice, but I’m sure Armentrout would like to move on from the series. It still ended beautifully and is definitely one of my FAVOURITE YA SERIES of all time. After Harry Potter of course.

3.75 rounded to 4. The final installment of the Lux series. Katy and Daemon must fight the invading Luxen to save the world and their future. I enjoyed reading how everything came to conclude in Opposition. Although some parts were very predictable (aka Dee's development; Katy's mom; Daemon/Katy's final hardship), it still was an epic conclusion. I loved Archer and how his character became a vital part of the team and Luc is just the best! I feel so sorry for him about Nadia. 

The fade-to-black sex scenes were a bit over the top; I mean I get that they are 18 and feral, but it started to become boring and drawn out/too much. 

Overall, this is a great YA fantasy series with enemies-lovers; taking care of one's wounds; epic battle scenes; found family; angst .

I give this book 3.5 stars. I really loved the series I'm just not sure how I feel about the ending. I liked it, but I still feel like I'm missing something that was in the other books. I can't exactly put my finger on it. It was pretty good though. If you've gotten this far definitely finish!

Even though  Origin  left me a little doubtful,  Opposition  was an awesome wrap up. Incredibly action filled and heart wrenching. And the epilogue was like uber cute.

I'm actually pretty sad that the series is finished now but I look forward to oblivion! yes! guys read this series if you haven't already!

Its so bittersweet to see this series end. I feel like the characters are a part of me. I love each one and I will miss them a lot. Each book was intense to massive porportions—each one ending in massive cliff-hangers but it was worth it. Opposition has left me with major feels. Daemon became so...in love with Katy. Yes, he was before...a lot but in Opposition, I felt it more than before and I kept wishing he was real so I could marry him (my fiance will not approve of this). 

I applaud Jennifer for this fascinating series. I can't begin to imagine how it would be to live without the Lux series but I'm sure I'll manage (not happening).

FANTASTIC ENDING!! Ahhhh it was such an epic & perfect conclusion...that epilogue was so perfect & it was all just so amazing. It was action packed, heart wrenching, and Jennifer Arementrout just knows how to give us all the feelings! I'm going to miss these characters & this world soooo much!!

Sometimes—and it happened at random moments—I was blown away by the fact that she was mine and I was hers. This was one of those times. 

I've reached the end of the Lux series and I think I could cry. 💔

From the Beginning reading Obsidian I knew I would be hooked on this series. JLA knows how to write a story in any setting and make you believe it. She also knows how to write a heart stopping book boyfriend. Daemon Black is alpha, snarky, handsome, protection and STRONG. If you are needing a something to get hooked on, this series is for you. 

Opposition was a great finale to a series. It tied everything together with Daedalus, Origins, Luxen, and Arums.

It gave me all I craved from a relationship with Kat and Daemon.


But man I would looooooooove some more Archer and Dee!!!!!

Not a fan of sci-fi? Ya neither was I.... but now I'm wondering when is too soon to reread this series... oh I'll be back... but until then I cannot wait to read the spin off with Luc's POV.

-the fight scenes...WOW!!! my heart was racing!

Más bien le doy un 4.5 ya que para mi Origin ha sido mucho mejor. Pero ha sido increíble de todas maneras. Me ha parecido que estuvo bien ejecutado, aunque me hubiera gustado ver más sarcásmo y reirme más como en libros anteriores, sé que no es posible debido a la situación. JLA abordó muy bien el plot y me soprendió en varias ocasiones. 
Pronto subiré una reseña a mi canal de YouTube (azkabooks, estoy recién comenzando eh)pero aquí dejaré un poco.

Bueno de partida me ha gustado mucho que Daemon y Dawson no hayan sido "absorbidos" por los luxen como Dee. Creo que eso mató el primer cliché que uno se espera. 
Me gustó también que Katy y Daemon se reencuentran muy pronto, si no me equivoco en el tercer capítulo. Otro cliché por la borda. Puesto que el final de Origin te deja pensando que Katy tendrá que encontrar a Daemon en medio del apocálipsis y tendrá que despertar a Daemon (tipo Tris a 4 en Divergente) pero no sucedió así y eso me gustó. Sin contar que fue lo que sucedió con Dee. 
El personaje de Archer me encanta aunque también me hubiera gustado ver más de Luc ya que el era de veras interesante. Al menos llegamos a saber porque Luc deseaba tanto obtener el LH-11(Prometheus) 
También descubrimos que Katy y Daemon no están conectados como ellos creen y que uno puede morir y el otro puede seguir viviendo. Eso lo llegué a sospechar solo a mitad del libro pero nunca en los anteriores. 
La historia de Nancy me pareció un poco fofa, ella en un minuto fue necesaria pero después fue extraño. 
Me encantó el plan de los Arum, de veras jamás se me pasó por la cabeza y lo encontré ingenioso.
El libro me tuvo muy a la par sin mucho cambio de emoción pero al llegar a los últimos, fui una montaña rusa. Todo pasa ahí y no tenías tiempo para calmarte cuando ya pasaba otra cosa. 
Quería saber más de Beth y Dawson pero entiendo que no daba la situación. 
El epílogo no me ha gustado nada pero creo que nunca me gustan los epílogos de ese tipo así que no cuenta, aún así no hubo explicación de como todo se recontruyó como no hubo mucha explicación de la guerra en otros lugares. 
Aunque me haya gustado creo que fue el libro más débil de la saga, toda la emoción se la llevó Origin y no sé tal vez sea porque esperaba un poco más de acción con todo esto de la invasión zombie y al menos una buena razón para que sucediera. 
En fin, espero que JLA se apiade de nosotros y nos de un poquito más de los Luxen porque he de decir que los extrañaré

The rest of the books are definitely better. I thought that this book seemed more rushed than the others and the the ending was a little too cliché. 
The best part of this book is obviously Daemon and Katy's relationship. They are very cute and are extremely funny.

           I am sooooo happy I finally finished this series. Like I couldn't handle this anymore

I really skipped a lot, especially all the soft porn moments that I just can't stand anymore.
I feel like I don't have many comments, some things were quite predictable.

I did not expect Katy's mum to die, or the whole Arum city (I have to say, many things are a bit senseless considering the fact that in every book it seems like the rules of the world change too much, and this is not an exception)

I am just so happy to leave this series and finally have been able to close it

I'm so glad I did a re-read of this series. Out of all the books I expected to remember the most from Opposition, but that wasn't the case at all. A great ending to this series that kept me on the edge of my seat.

           i’m just kinda sad because i really wanted katy to realize that her dad died because he was mutated ?? like, it was so obvious and i always thought it would come back but she never put his rapid cancer progression + him seeing things + what happened to will when he was mutated together?? also, i really wanted to see micah again :(

Ah, this was a pretty good conclusion to this series. I was bit dissapointed in the actual ending of this book. It just felt a bit anticlimatic for all the build up we have gotten in this book and the previous one.For the rest my feelings over this book felt a bit the same as my feelings for book 4. The plot was very action packed and just kept moving. It didn't have a slow moment at all and that's a HUGE improvement from book 1-3. However, I just wasn't as sucked into it as I was in book 1 and 2. For the rest my main complaints are actually pretty small. First of all it's told in dual POV and even though I get why that decision is made and without it the story wouldn't have been complete I didn't like it that much. It was just very hard to distinguish for me from which POV I was reading from. Both inside voices just sounded a lot alike. It could have been done a lot better. Another frustration point to me were Katy and Daemon actually. They're just so smartasses and it was fun in the first couple of books when it just resulted in witty banter between the two but in this book it was just really frustrating. Their big mouths just got themselves into more trouble than nececary but they still think they're doing the right thing and just don't learn at all. I still read this book pretty quickly though and I'm glad I got through this whole series because it's just a whole lot of fun.
