I really loved this manga! The art was amazing and the characters were all incredibly well portrayed. The friendship between all of the characters was also really great to see develop. I really liked how no character just sat in the box they were originally conceived in. It would be easy to fall into popular tropes for characters, but each one of them expressed care and concern for Kakeru at some point during the story, even if that didn't fit their outward expression, and I thought that was really awesome to see. Can't wait to pick up the next volume!

Well, that was just ADORABLE. 
I'm such a dork. I ordered this online thinking it was a graphic novel and then this little manga book arrived and I was like, "huh?". I haven't read manga in years and it took me a second to get back in the hang of it but this was just AWESOME. The characters were sweet and real, the plot interesting. I felt completely invested in the story, and the characters were relatable (especially Suwa in my case). This was just great and I'm excited to read the next collection!

REALLY enjoyed this conclusion to the series! The only real problem I had was the length. It was too short! Because of this, the ending felt too abrupt, but besides that I actually LIKED the ending. It wasn't what I was expecting which was really nice. It caught me off guard, in a good way!
The little short story at the end was cute but felt a little strange? It was a completely different story and I liked it but what was the point? To make the volume 'appear' bigger? I would've rather just had a couple more chapters of Orange, please. I mean, do other manga's do this? Add a short story at the end? Maybe this is a thing but it just felt out of place to me.
But seriously, a really wonderful and heartfelt manga series. Glad I picked these up!

The friendship aspect won my heart. It's beautiful and the best part about this manga, in my opinion. Oh and the art style too! It's AMAZING, somehow different and stands out from other shoujo mangas out there.

Amazing story. It does a lot with the simple premise. I felt very satisfied with the experience. Plus, it includes a lengthy bonus manga, Haruiro Astronaut. I definitely think recommend this story to manga readers.

Fantastic! On the surface, a slice of life book about being young and falling in love with the new exchange student. But there's a time travel twist in which the main girl receives a letter from herself from 10 years in the future. The letter includes a list of regrets and instructions for how to overcome them to prevent an upcoming tragedy.

Making decisions is the hardest thing people do on a daily basis. There's no telling how a decision made now will ripple out and affect our future. There's an appeal to having a magical letter that will guide one's actions to be the ideal person that we want to be.

Despite the fantastical aspect, the drama is very grounded. The characters are all very likable (even the obvious pedant in the group.) There's a cartoonishly villainous bully, but she's mostly their for mechanical reasons and disappears once her purpose is served.

I like the drawings. Ichigo Takano represents herself with a strawberry character, since Ichigo means strawberry in Japanese. I wonder if Kakeru receives his name from the popular time-travel drama Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo (The Girl Who Leapt Through Time).

The story is heartfelt and worth checking out. "Orange, bitter and sweet like the taste of love."

It's been quite some time since I last read a manga series, and this title has certainly caught my attention due to its' popularity and high ratings on Goodreads. So when I was in the mood to read something light, I decided to binge-read the whole series within 1-2 days. One of the reasons why I love this manga is because of the beautiful art—this is the style of illustration that I love and the expressions on each character are portrayed so perfectly by the author. The story itself managed to intrigue me right from the very first page, when the main character, Naho, received a letter from herself ten years in the future. I actually went into this book not knowing much about what it's going to be about, so I really enjoyed how the author unravel the mystery little by little as the story progresses. At first, I thought this was going to be a lighthearted story about friendship and romance—turns out, it also involve dark themes that I did not expect.

The story is written in dual timelines, the present and the future. The present timeline tells the story of Naho who received the letter from the future and tries to do what her future self suggested. While ten years in the future, Naho and her friends are reunited but something is amiss. Thankfully, it's not confusing at all because there are distinct differences between their present and future selves. Going back and forth between timelines actually increased my curiosity and wants to find out more what actually happened that urged them to change the past. At the end, the story suggests the possibility of alternate realities—which leaves some questions unanswered in the end. I actually like this kind of open-ended because it leaves the rest of the story to our imagination and we can freely choose in our minds what kind of ending we actually prefer.

I'm not going to discuss the plot much in this review because I'm afraid it's going to spoil the story for those who haven't read it yet. Instead, I will talk more about the characters in the story. The first one is our main character, Takamiya Naho—the main protagonist who's extremely shy and timid, but also a very sweet person. Her character is perfect for this kind of story because her future self pushes her to be be outspoken and get out of her comfort zone. There are moments when Naho is unable to bring herself to do what the letter tells her, which I can totally sympathize with. Despite knowing that her actions will help her future self to live without regrets, it is truly difficult to do things that are outside of her characters. It's also fascinating to see how her character slowly develops as she gained courage to do the things that she used to be afraid of. I actually feel proud of her for stepping outside her comfort zone because I know it's not easy to do so.

The next character that I'd like to mention is Naruse Kakeru—a new student who ended up joining Naho's circle of friends. He seems to be quiet and reserved most of the time, which makes his character quite unpredictable because we don't truly know what he's thinking about. Kakeru doesn't express his emotions often and tends to hide his true feelings behind his sad smile. As he grow closer to Naho and the rest of the group, Kakeru starts to open up and shared what caused his sadness and guilt. When it was revealed, I immediately understood the reason behind the first letter that Naho received from the future—because it's the key to everything that happen afterwards. Unfortunately, I don't always love Kakeru's character; there are moments when I was quite frustrated with him and his way of thinking. For me, Hiroto Suwa is the best character and also my favorite in this series ❤️. Suwa has an outgoing and friendly personality; and as we get to know him, we realize how selfless he actually is and how he wants the best for other people. My heart breaks when he intentionally sacrificed his own feelings for other people's sake 🥲. I'm just glad that one version of Suwa got the happy ending that he deserves.

Besides those three characters, there are 3 supporting characters within this group: Chino Takako, Murasaka Azusa, and Hagita Saku. Even though they don't play a huge role in the story, their presence brings smile to my face and their friendship is just so adorable. I especially love the scene when Takako and Azusa stood of for Naho because Naho can't stand up for herself. I also love it when they tease one another—which shows how close they are. Reading this series reminds me of my high school days and how I also treasure the friendship that I have—even until now. This story also emphasizes the importance of having a good support system that will encourage us, lend us a shoulder to lean on, and make us smile during difficult times.

Once I started reading this manga, I couldn't put it down. As I've said earlier, the story intrigued me right from the start and it continues to make me curious to see how the story is going to end. Even though there are some parts of the plot that are quite cliché, I still find myself enjoying it from start to finish. I personally think the friendship aspect of the story warms my heart more than the romance; and I also really liked seeing the character development—especially in our main protagonist. The art is absolutely beautiful and the dialogues tugged at my heartstrings. I definitely did not regret picking this series up and it reignited my love for manga ❤️.

Kakeru is so precious and oh my, i haven't even got words to describe how amazing and cute this series is so far, definitely my favourite manga of all time. 
can't wait to continue on with this series, whether that be through the anime series of the manga series.

Ottima storia per far capire come una persona non smette di desiderare il suicidio solo perchè è amato e glielo si dice, ma perchè piano piano torna ad instillarglisi dentro il dubbio che il giorno seguente, se non ci fosse più, potrebbe perdersi qualcosa di divertente. Una piccola cosa che per altri può essere ininfluente, come una possibile risata, un pranzo con gli amici, un appuntamento con la ragazza che ti piace, un test a scuola, può essere quello che ti fa tremare le gambe quando stai per buttarti sotto ad un furgone, come è successo a Kakeru. Il tornare a voler vivere è anche quindi grazie alle piccole cose che ti permettono le persone che ti stanno accanto.
Il manga ti lascia una spinta al parlare, all'aprirsi e al mettercela tutta per raggiungere la persona che ti si trova di fronte -come spingono i protagonisti nelle lettere ai loro stessi di dieci anni più giovani- perchè potrebbe salvarla.

Per una volta poi è stato molto carino leggere un'amicizia fra i protagonisti così sincera e bella.

I loved the art and story in this, such an interesting plot. Naho’s crippling shyness is frustrating at points, her naivety and selflessness makes her a bit of a doormat but the story has so much heart and emotion, that I still love her and the friendship group is good, they all clearly care for each other and look out for each other. My only slight criticism could be that there is too much emphasis on others taking responsibility for someone’s mental health. But on the whole this is a fantastic story about friendship.

I believe I started this manga around a week or two ago, but only really began becoming immersed into this just a few days ago. This is technically the first manga that I've ever read, and I have to just say, wow. Definitely getting the second full volume of this series - this was oh so amazing to go through, and I dragged out reading it for as long as I could. The art style is absolutely beautiful, oh my gosh. The snippets of slightly rendered and shaded characters are gorgeous. The premise of this story is immensely heartbreaking - but the relationships that blossom and heighten from this plot point are so lighthearted, sweet, and even funny at times. I love all of the character dynamics and interactions - put simply, I love everything about this, and can't get enough of it. Not only Naho's desire to heal Kakeru's wounds, but her entire friend groups effort to do so as well, seriously moved my emotions. I'm so attached to the characters, I can't express that enough. A thousand times over, this is a really heavy, yet enjoyable manga. If you're comfortable with some of the topics mentioned, go for this; be prepared to sob, though.
