The story made me cry, laugh and feel grateful for being around the people I love. Dani Atkins is an excellent storyteller. She did a wonderful job of weaving the outline of the characters. She made all of the people in the book so real to me. I was emotionally invested in the characters from the very beginning. I finished the book in one setting, I felt as if I was in the hospital with Ally herself. The story was a mixture of many beautiful elements. The book made me a sobbing mess and left a hole in my heart that nothing can ever fill up. 😭
