Check out this and my other reviews at My Blog, Facebook, Google+, Twitter and Pinterest Copy received in exchange for an honest review ★Book Basics★ Genre : - Cont. Romance Series : - 3rd in the series Love triangle? - (view spoiler)[No (hide spoiler)] Cheating? - (view spoiler)[No (hide spoiler)] HEA? - (view spoiler)[Yes (hide spoiler)] Would I read more by this author/or in this series? - Yes Rating - 5 ★Review★ I truly adore this series. And I had been looking forward to Bull's story since we met him in book 1. And how he was in this book, yes he was cruel at times to Mia and it was a bit hard to take. And I thought to myself, if this was a book with a brand new to me hero, I had not met before, I might not have been able to take his actions and behaviour. But, after book 1, where we know his history, we know just how deep the darkness in him is, what battle he fights on a daily basis just to keep on living, in this book, we knew why he was as he was. We also get some Bull POV here, and the guilt he lives with just magnifies when he meets Mia, as she gives him the first peace he has known in years. And he feels he does not deserve this peace. What follows is probably the best book of the series, ( and I have truly enjoyed the previous books). It is so emotional and heart felt, and heart wrenching. But, while Bull is never going to be as openly affectionate as Cade and Brock, as that is just not who he is, how he was with "his girls" toward the end, was beautiful. And we not only see Bull finally feel able to deserve a partner, we get to watch him fall in love not just with a woman, but with her daughter, and he changes in so many ways, from a broken shell of a man living in darkness, to a man, a father standing in the light. And while I feel this is Bull's story, maybe as we knew him and had hoped for HEA for him, Mia was just as engaging a character. Knowing she is hiding something, scared of something, ruining from that same thing, but she had created a beautiful life for her daughter, and their relationship was awesome. A beautiful 5 stars Oh, and Lexie and Killian!! Really!! I need that book now. What happend?

I received an ebook of this novel from the author and I voluntarily reviewed it. Thanks Anne Malcom! My favourite Anne Malcom books are Unquiet Minds and Skeletons of Us, and since this is a parallel story, I knew I would love it. Even though I already knew what was going to happen, I still got way too emotional at certain points, and at certain lines. Yes, Anne can make me feel all these feelings as if I'm reading the story for the first time and not, well, the second. As much as I love all the Sons, Bull has taken the crown, well there's Kill too, but Bull is special. Anne is able to paint a vivid picture of his past, and his demons, and we see how his darkness starts to recede with Mia and Lexie. I loved how integral Lexie was to the story. How it's not a simple love story, but one about family as well. Family is not blood, family is about bonds, love, trust... It's the people that feel like home, the people you turn to, and that comes through loud and clear in this book. There are just so many beautiful lined in this book dealing with light and darkness, and day and night. I may have overly highlighted in this book *shrugs*. Bull rising from his ashes was a beautiful story to read, and I cannot wait to dive into the next one.
