Over the Garden Wall Vol. 2

Over the Garden Wall Vol. 2

Two lost brothers venture across a strange forest and discover incredible and bizarre things on their journey home in a style reminiscent of The Wind in the Willows and Sleepy Hollow. Wirt and Greg find themselves at a crossroads in the Unknown and it looks like the brothers will each have to take his own path. With the liklihood they’ll come across fantastical creatures or ghastly towns, it doesn’t matter which path is chosen when something far more sinister is on their tail... Eisner Award-winning cartoonist Jim Campbell returns To Over the Garden Wall with short stories by Danielle Burgos (Over The Garden Wall), Cara McGee (Clarence), George Mager (Uncle Grandpa), and introducing Kiernan Sjursen-Lien, in these not-to-be-missed adventures based on the Emmy award-winning show from Cartoon Network.

I’m writing this like two months later but anyway I really like the first story and how the style changes depending on whose perspective we see, but unfortunately, the later ones were boring. That’s why it’s only 3 stars

This one was okay. I like the schoolhouse animals but this one just didn't make me laugh like most of the OTGW comics do.

Where's Anna's story?! I feel like we haven't seen her in a while but I did enjoy this issue!

I like that as the comics go on, they focus on one story more! They feel really well fleshed out. This was a fun Wirt and Greg-centric comic and Wirt is SO WIRT. If you like the show, you'll love Wirt's tangents.

If you've watched the show "Over the Garden Wall", this issue of the comics will start to bring some pieces together for you! I let out a little gasp reading Anna's portion of the story and what's revealed.

I love the way Greg and Anna's stories are developing! Anna's story is definitely a bit more mature than Greg's, so younger kids reading deeper into the series may not enjoy her half of the story, but I love that both stories are developing some mystery.

I love the similarities and differences between Greg's story and Anna's! Greg's story brings a lot of fun while Anna's is a little more serious, and both have an interesting mystery unfolding.

I have a feeling Hero Frog isn't quite who he says he is! The story is starting to really come together!

This seems to hint at life pre- Over the Garden Wall show and I’m excited to see where it goes!
