Double Feature consistency made me question what the plot was and what anything really mattered. The novel can be summarized by two key words, used to describe not only my reading experience but also the characters and plot; pitiful and disappointing. King puts it best, "Disappointment was predictable and disappointing." (pp. 356) This is one of the few novels I have considered not finishing, simply because I don't understand what really happened. It has interesting parts and characters, but the addition of so many movie like scenes cut through the flow of the book and I found it to be very unmemorable.
