James' account of the Nightingale house can make one feel suddenly scared. Loved the mystery, and the insights into british nursing hospitals of the 1970s. The original cover is so good, makes a lot of sense when you have finished the book.

Love love how P D James portrays ordinary people. The small communities that her mysteries centre on are so realistic that I kind of don't want the mystery to be solved I want to keep reading about the nitty gritty details of their private lives.
