Since I finished (head over heels in love with) Tessa, Jason and every single thing about Tessa Ever After, I've desperately needed more of this series in my life. I just can't get enough of Brighton Walsh's writing and her characters. I had pretty high expectations for Paige in Progress and ... I. Loved. It. The opposites attract trope is still one of my favorites, so it's no wonder I loved Paige and Adam right off the bat. In a twist on the norm, she's the one who isn't looking for anything more than a good time. Relationships aren't her thing. Adam, on the other hand, is all about relationships. Casual isn't really something he does. Their chemistry was off the freaking charts and I shipped them hard from the very start. I couldn't get enough of them. I loved how Paige embraced her sexuality. I loved how Adam called her on her bullshit and pushed her just enough to make her realize she did want more. With him, that is. Paige and Adam felt so real to me. I really liked her because she was different from the usual romance heroine. I got her. I understood why she was how she was. But, if I'm honest, I also wanted to shake her a couple times, too. Adam was flipping swoony as hell and I loved him. (Glasses are hot, yo!) How couldn't she see it? See he was more than the usual good time guys she "dates"? But, having said that, the story wouldn't have been nearly as pleasing if she had let her walls crumble after their first night together. I loved it because of how great it was to watch the back and forth and experience everything as they fell for each other. Of course, it's not all fun and games (and sexy times!) here, but both of the characters experience personal growth and have to make some decisions about their futures. I finished this book in one sitting. I love Brighton's writing. Her books always make me laugh, swoon and FEEL. And boy, can this lady write the sexy times or what?! Whew. So freaking good. Paige and Adam were fantastic together and I LOVED seeing Jason and Tessa again – and Cade and Winter, of course. I love all them so much. The friendships might've been secondary to the storyline here, but they still gave me the warm fuzzies (and a few laughs). I have a bone to pick with Brighton over the epilogue though. Haha. How could you NOT give us names?!?! Did I miss something early on that gave it all away? (I seriously might've gone back to search in my eARC for key terms that might give it away, lest I missed them in my reading.) I mean, I felt the feels regardless and I have my own thoughts about who it was, but I want to know for sure! GAH! In case you haven't guessed, I totally love this series. It's one of the best of the best in new adult romance and if you're not reading it yet, you need to do something about that. Like, now. I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. FAVORITE QUOTES: Adam has Relationship Material written all over him, and the only relationship I'm interested in is the one I have with my vibrator. I wanted to take her right there. In a goddamn bathroom. I’m not that guy. I’m not the guy who has one-night stands, who fucks on the first date, who has public sex because I can’t wait to get someplace private. I’m methodical…safe in my relationships, because when it comes down to it, that’s what I want. I’ve been kissed a lot. And I’ve been kissed. The kind that make you breathless and giddy. The kind that make you want to rip your clothes off and fuck right where you stand. So then if I’ve had those kind of kisses before, how can Adam make it feel like he’s the first? Like he’s the only one who’s ever done this to me? The only one who ever could. "The next time you want to reach for your purple friend, walk across the hall and knock on my door. I'll give you what you need." “You don’t think of anyone but me when I’m standing in front of you, got it? My fingers. My mouth. My cock. I’ll give you any of them you want, but you only think of me.”
