           Het is bizar wat voor een vluchtdrang Papillon heeft. Zelfs als hij vrij is wil hij meer, wat ook weer fout gaat. Sommige scènes spelen nog levendiger in je hoofd af dan een film zou kunnen bereiken. De mooiste delen vind ik het verblijf bij de Indianen, het bizarre overlijden van zijn vrienden en hoe je met Papillon, telkens weer, mee op zee dobbert. Dat dit een waargebeurd verhaal is, ongelooflijk.
