Five Early Works

These five works translated by Roy Arthur Lagerkvist (1891-1974), introduced a new spirit of modernism into Swedish poetry, prose, and drama. In this work Swanson translates many of Lagerkvist's short stories, a play, prose sketches, and essays.The text contains short stories from Iron and Men; the play The Last Man; prose sketches The Expectant Guest and The Morning; and essays from The Clenched Fist.
