Being moved and inspired by Paris Hilton was not on my 2023 bingo card. There were times in this book where I felt like I experienced unexpected secondhand trauma. There were parts of this book where I had nightmares after reading and couldn’t go back to sleep. Once, I woke up in the middle of night with the urge to keep reading but also thinking about what I just read and being so disturbed. There are always skeptics when it comes to celebrity memoirs saying that they’re made up but the stories in here were too messed up to be made up. I liked her sense of humor throughout. I loved her nicknames for people. Though I felt the first half of her book was better than the last half, I really grew to value Paris Hilton in a way I never thought I would have before. I felt like she “yada yada yada”ed her way through a lot of things but I guess that just means I’ll have to read her other memoirs. 

One of my favorite autobiographies! A lovely way to look into her beautiful mind and past. I love how when she mentions a year change she names the top songs or movies.

I couldn’t stop listening to this book and the addition of her baby voice at times was iconic. 

God, she’s such an interesting person. I cannot believe the extent of what’s happened in her life when I just saw her as dj/reality star icon Paris Hilton.

Paris was never someone I knew much about or really followed, but this book was iconic. It reveals so much about what she went through and who she is as a person now. Oddly relatable and so witty.

I get that she went through things I can’t even imagine, and I get that just because you’re rich it doesn’t mean your life is easy. But this book is superfluous.

It typically takes me over a month to read or listen to a book, unless I’m in love with it. I finished this book in a week. As someone with ADHD, I’m obsessed with how Paris writes. It’s exactly like how she thinks, and it’s easy to follow because of this. I imagine if I ever wrote a book it would be in this language as well. The things she has been through and still seems to have a happy demeanor js truly inspiring. Such a good read!

This is an incredible memoir seemingly written at just the right time of reflection for Paris. She shares so much, more than I’d ever expect. Please check trigger warnings as I had to take a little break from this at one point because it can be a little hard to read knowing it’s nonfiction. I could say a lot more about this but it probably wouldn’t sound all that articulate. Just know I’d recommend.
