My Dark Romeo An Enemies-To-Lovers Romance
Reviews

Did not finnished… she was just childish and the whole story line was just out of context. Why df, would she fall in love with him?

did not like this one fmc was annoying and the writing was not great

i had so many homes for this book and i was truly let down. i thought that dallas would be a badass powerful woman who would do everything to make Romeo fall but she ended up being even worse than any wattpad character. her only personality traits were: sleeping 24/7, EATING like they cannot stop saying that she loves to eat WE GET IT ALRIGHT SHE IS NOT LIKE OTHER GIRLS, reading (because as i said she IS not like other girls), loving sex but un an addiction way like she cannot stop herself and THE most annoying thing: warning children but like REALLY desperately to the point that i just want to kill her and her being so weird about it that she litteraly kept some cum in her mouth after they fucked because she thought about sticking it Where you think. Her only days to bring Romeo down was to be an annoying stupid beat like i swear to god it felt like she was forteen for most of the book because of how immature she was, i really just read it for romeo. Lés not forget how cliché the end is SPOILERS: she IS pregnant and what a surprise they end up in love with each other (let’s not forget the part Where he is on his death bed in the hospital to add a little more clichés and cringe and wattpad vibe) Let’s also not forget about how quirky they tried to make the book with cringey stuff such as « that’s Hailey bieber to you » like ??? Also you cannot make me believe that a rich family of relatively high rank called their daughter Dallas… they could not be serious… On conclusion: i am happy that i only got the digital version because i would not bear having it in paper

As a reviewer of porn novels, I find some of the erotic descriptions inventive. The comparison of the protagonist's penis to a sheepdog is impressive. But I would like to criticise the book for the fact that most of the sexual tension is driven by the hatred of the protagonists.

Ok I did like the premise of the book but as it goes longer and longer it gets worse. The ending actually makes me laugh out loud it’s so ridiculous. I unknowingly read it again and the thing that tipped me off was because the ending is just TERRIBLE. I digress, the beginning and middle is fine though.

Slow burn

I absolutely loved this book. Everything about it was perfect. I love all the (right) characters and how the story progressed. Ugh just couldn’t get enough. I love Romeo and Dallas so much and I love how Zach and Oliver kept calling her different city names. Beautiful

I love a good billionaire romance and this didn’t dissapoint. I loved the development of each character and the story was never boring.

I was in a slump for over a month now and while I had fun during a book or two I missed the giddy enjoyment I normally have if a book is good. Well this was not only good but fantastic! I loved it so much. They maybe didn't try to kill each other but they truly hated each other for the majority of the book haha I loved it.
(I am glad he changed directions because while I can accept morally grey, making weapons is were I draw the line lol)
She was absolutely hilarious and even he was funny af when it comes to hating his dad haha

Absolutely loved that we got so much of Romeo’s POV if it was straight Dallas I don’t think I would have liked it as much

What the fuck. The ending (chapter 66-epilogue) is cute loved that but the rest is not my style. God awful. WHO TF CALLS SOMEONE SHORTBREAD and why is shortbread not bread. Also I found her very childish from time to time and I found him just an a-hole not even charming a-hole like most of them just not even a lil charming or flirty. This was the longest 68 chapters off my life.

I was obsessed with this book from start to finish. I love the banter and the characters throughout the entire book. I didn’t expect to laugh as much as I did.
One thing I loved was how Romeo character didn’t have an instant change when Dallas came around he was a consistent asshole. It was refreshing honestly😂
The whole book was just so good. It was one I would have read faster had I not been in a slump but otherwise it was so good and I can’t wait to see if maybe… maybe there will be more for this group because I would be all for it!

FMC was a little childish and annoyed me for most of the first half but it got better in the second half and the ending was really sweet.

Dakota had no care in the world what anyone thought of her and I loved that about her. She only wanted to eat, nap, or read and is a whole mood. Homegirl had two hours to pack but instead decided to nap. She gave Romeo a run for his money in the best ways possible. I do wish Romeo gave in a little more in some points. The texts between Olli, Zack, and Romeo definitely made this more enjoyable too.

3.5 ⭐️ This book was like a fever dream.. it wasn’t a good book by any means and I thought about dnfing many times but I couldn’t? Somehow it was still very entertaining and ridiculous and just so fucking hilarious? Like it was so unserious.. also I love Dallas so much my iconic queen simply existing to sleep, eat, read, and spend all his money! But yeah I disliked so much in the book ( the writing, and so much cringe moments including the smut, also basically him) but still ended up enjoying it? I was gonna give it 3 ⭐️but the 0.5 is for him becoming a simp in the last chapters and turning his house into a library for her..

It was really good. I loved the writing, and the characters are okay, I guess, but all in all, it was a good dark romance book. The reason why I give it 3.5 stars is that there is in every chapter but the last ones smut, which I am not a fan of. I mean, it's okay to have it sometimes, but I don't need to know every time they do things. And really, like every chapter is a little bit too much.
The second reason is Romeo being dramatic as f**k.
Anyways I liked Dallas' dream (which I won't say, so it is a spoiler free review). It gave the book some good flavour. Personal I wished that there were more cute scenes but that's fine. I mean, it's a dark romance, but yeah.
This review is getting too long.
3.5⭐️

Who doesn’t love a enemies to lovers + marriage of convenience?
This book was pretty good! I loved the majority of it but the MC gave me the ick about 10 times throughout…. HOWEVER The characters where well written and it was faced paced!
I would recommend this if you are wanting a good enemies to lovers, because they really hate each other for the most part of the book

I think I was judging the title when I thought this would be too cheesy. I was very wrong, and I loved every minute of it. Now I’m hoping my shitty memory will grant me the decency of forgetting it so it will be brand new again next year 🫶🏻

After being caught together at a party, Dallas's reputation is ruined, so she must marry Romeo, the man who ruined her. Dallas is only part of Romeo's plan to bring down a rival's family business as well as his own father's company, but she proves feisty and irresistible. While things in Romeo's past make it impossible for him to love Dallas, he does admire the way she fights him at every turn, but no matter what, he is never going to give into her desire to have a baby.
I have mixed feelings about My Dark Romeo. While the novel is extremely flawed, it somehow intrigued me enough to want to read it right to the very end. Almost all of the characters are unlikable, especially the protagonists, and many of their actions are wildly inappropriate, but there is a certain fascination with them that I can't ignore. In addition, the pacing of the story is off with much of Romeo's story delivered in a monologue near the end of the book, after which he is suddenly supposed to be likable. Also there are some consent issues in this book, that at times make the reading uncomfortable and a suspense plot that comes totally out of the blue near the end of the book. Overall, My Dark Romeo is a problematic romance that still manages to be fascinating.

Highlights

“It’s different,” I ground out. “I’m not jealous. I’m protective of her. Dallas did nothing wrong, other than existing.”
“Denver did plenty wrong.” A sad smile stretched across Zach’s face. “You just keep forgiving her for everything.”

“Want me to lick it better?” I heard myself grunt out. “Yes, thank you.”

I kinda hate romeo

I needed to see her. Just one more time.
“Please, Rom, stay awake. Please. For me?”
“I’ll do anything for you,” I heard myself say, before the world turned black and the ambulances ceased to whine. “You’re my favorite plot twist.”

Dallas studied it, almost bewildered. “I’m crying.”
I love you, too, Shortbread.
Awww

I breathed hard, my lips moving over his. “You are not the only one here with a dark corner to your soul. I will go to extreme lengths to make sure you are mine. I want you. And I won’t give you up just because you decided you want to try out life without me again.”

We never took edibles, but I always liked to keep Romeo on edge, forever guessing. It made him pay me a sliver of attention, and I, the beggar that I was, scrambled for whatever crumbs he threw my way.
She is hilarious I would die to be her friend haha

With my nose nuzzled in her hair, I decided in that moment that if she was crazy enough to give me another chance, I would give her everything she wanted, no questions asked, and demand nothing in return.
If it meant I got to keep her, I would endure an entire lifetime of her stringing me along, getting pregnant, fleeing to Chapel Falls, and returning here only when it suited her.
Awww

The way Dallas’s brain worked was an absolute crime against humanity.

“Why didn’t you say so?” Romeo released him, yielded a blank check from his wallet, and slapped it onto Madison’s chest. “Here.”
It cartwheeled to Madison’s loafers. “What’s that?”
“The settlement I’ll be paying you after you sue me for breaking your nose.”
“You didn’t break my—” Romeo planted his fist square in Madison’s face. Blood gushed out of my ex-fiancé’s nose. It dripped down his suit, coloring the carpet crimson.
Get him tiger LMAO

“Let’s start over, shall we? I have a reservation at The Eye of Paris. It’s on a terrace overlooking the city. You will join me.”
I rubbed my ear. “So weird. My hearing must be off, because I can’t seem to register the P-word.”
“Calling you a parasite seemed unfitting in this instance.”
“I meant please.”

The bad news was—Senior was still alive. The good news? He seemed a little less so than the last time I’d seen him.
His reason for why he hates his father aren't funny but him wishing for his death like a kid during christmas is haha

In lieu of a fiancé to take my anger out on, every single item in his bedroom and office was at my mercy. I left no stone unturned in my bid to discover more about the man who had waltzed into my life in an expensive tux and turned it upside down just because it suited him. I spent the entire night sifting through paperwork in his study, going item by item, and putting it back in non-chronological order, just to mess with his psyche.

“Stop moving.” He barely rasped out the guttural command.
“Just trying to find a comfortable spot.” I raised my head and chanced a glimpse at Oliver, who grinned ear to ear. I felt like Bugs Bunny, driving Elmer mad but somehow getting away with it.
“How hard could it be?” Romeo bit out.
“Oh, trust me, very hard.”
Oliver erupted into full-blown laughter.
I love her so much haha

Rather than repeat the entire process again—I knew she wouldn’t budge—I pushed the door open. If she was indecent, fine. Nothing she hadn’t offered to show me before.
But Shortbread wasn’t naked.
Nor was she crying hysterically in a heap of emotions, perched on a windowsill like a damsel in distress.
She was, in fact, sleeping peacefully on her queen-size bed, still in her dressing gown, Cheaters dancing on her television. A single snore rattled her shoulders.
Words failed me.
Haha💅🏻

“No,” he insisted. “Dallas is nothing like what you’ve seen and known. I assure you.”
If I had a penny for every time a proud father tried to sell me his daughter based on her merits…well, I’d still be a billionaire.
“When you fall in love with her, make sure you don’t resent her for it.”
So. Delusion was something that ran in this family. As luck would have it, I didn’t need Dallas’s DNA.
I glanced around me, bored. “I’ll try my best.”
“I mean it.” His jaw set. “I know you don’t feel this way right now, but my daughter is utterly irresistible. There wasn’t one man in this town and the next who didn’t offer for her. I hope that, when she captures your heart, she’ll have the right mind to break it. Just like you’re breaking hers.”
No lies were told

“Romeo Costa.” Savannah’s voice curled with longing as he breezed right past us, heading toward the table reserved for VIPs. “I would let him ruin me as thoroughly and impressively as Elon Musk destroyed Twitter.”
Haha

The woman spent her days eating. Binge-reading books (sometimes finishing an entire series in the span of twenty-four hours), and spending unholy amounts of money.
relatable

“You’re my favourite plot twist.”
