When her hometown of Bakerhaven, Connecticut, decides to host a charity crossword puzzle tournament, Cora Felton, "the Puzzle Lady," is reluctant to become involved, until the mysterious death of one of the celebrity contestants forces Cora into the role of amateur sleuth to find the killer.
