Such a comfort book. Love it

My Review: (May contain spoilers, fair warning upon reading this review)
Alpha and Omega is the prequel to the Alpha and Omega series. I decided to read these books in order from the author's website. And I was so fascinated by what we saw with this novella. I went into this one pretty blind actually, and what a delicious tale. It had just the right touches of elements I enjoy in a romance while also leaving a small teaser to make you want to read the first installment and I can tell you I am so excited to read it.
Alpha and Omega is a story that we see the very beginning of Charles and Anna. Anna is a newly forced changed werewolf, she is told she is the "weakest" of the pack. But when she reaches out to the leader of the North American pack, the alpha sends his son Charles and top enforcer to assist her with her pack's issue. There is instant connection between Anna and Charles and there are secrets revealed about Anna's true identity as a wolf and a fated love that is newly discovered between the two as they claim justice for wrongs done by the Chicago pack.
What a superb read this one turned out to be. What a RIDE! And honestly I couldn't put this one down and considering this was only available as a libby book, I am surprised I was able to stick with it but their chemistry was instant and you can feel their bond so quickly. There is also such balance in their relationship which I gobbled up like my favorite bowl of fruit. It was tasteful, fascinating and kept me on my toes! Now I am getting why this author is so well loved and can't wait to dive into more.

It's the same story as the Alpha and Omega book but I still enjoyed it because I love Patricia Briggs, especially this particular series of hers. I also love that they made sure to make Charles' bandages pink and green, those are the little details I love. This just made me wish that the next book in the series was out already. Also that I need to catch up in the Mercedes Lackey series. I really do love that this is the same story because it opens up the series to people who might not normally read novels but can still enjoy the story this way.

This was my first time reading a book by Patricia Briggs and I absolutely loved it! I have been wanting to read her Mercy Thompson series for ages but I came across this short story the other day and thought it would be a good opportunity to find out if I liked her writing. Well, I have to say that Alpha & Omega was an excellent introduction to her work. Don’t let yourself be fooled by the fact that this is a novella. It is very well structured, draws you in from the very first pages and is highly entertaining. It bodes *very* well for the rest of the series! The story is deceptively short as the author does a fantastic job of introducing the series’ main characters and the world they live in. In less than 60 pages, Briggs manages to get the reader acquainted with the werewolves’ world and its rules, which is no small feat. I love Anna and Charles, the series main characters. Anna seems deceptively weak at first but I think she has all it takes to become quite the butt-kicking heroine. After all she’s been through and despite her apparent submissive attitude she is (and will be) a force to be reckoned with. Charles is quite an intriguing character, probably one of the most interesting UF characters I have come across in a long time. I also like the fact that he is part Native American, which I find *very* refreshing! I am officially hooked and can’t wait to read the rest of the series! · Book 1: Cry Wolf ★★ · Book 2: Hunting Ground ★★

This was the perfect introduction to this series. I am totally intrigued and I am ready to begin this series. Considering the limited number of pages I immediately cared about Anna and Charles and was invested in their story together. That is impressive, usually it can feel rushed or unnecessary but considering I tried to read the first few pages of Cry Wolf first, this story is utterly necessary.

Anna was changed against her will a few years ago. She believes that she is a submissive wolf and belongs at the bottom of the pack. That all changes when the Marrok's son shows up to find out what is going on in her pack. This series has been on my TBR list for way too long. This was a great place to start and I loved it!
