Rating: 4 I love this series. I love Anna and Charles and the dynamic of their relationship. I also love how Briggs creates a light read filled with a great and interesting plot. However, I can not stand how Anna always needs to be saved. Actually, its quite infuriating. She has the ability to literally calm people into a drunk stupor, I just do not understand why she never uses it. I loved the conflict with Charles. His character is so intriguing and complex, I wish we would get a solo book for him where his backstory is talked about in more depth. Charles struggle with his ghosts was so genuine and real for me. And watching him pull away from Anna and seeing Anna struggle with their relationship really touched me. Its such a difficult thing for a relationship to go through and it reminds me of how a war changes dynamics between the one returning from combat and the one at home. Overall this was a great installment in this series. I loved the little twist of the serial killer investigation and the big plot twist towards the end.
It feels so good to be back with Anna and Charles. Full review coming later.
This one I love the best in Alpha and Omega series. I guess because of the main theme in the story and that's a serial killer. That theme is currently what I am gravitating after all reading and watching Ted Bundy tapes by accident is something. This story is really something because we see a little bit about Charles and Anna relationship and how Charles is killing more people. After all, werewolves need to be seen good in light to humans. We see how it affects him and Anna sees it too and she doesn't know how to help and she even attacks Bran about how he is treating Charles. Bran decides to send them on this case with a serial killer. We see how even government people are treating them and what they think of them. Oh my god, the ending was great like come on. I want more give me more. Definitely needs to read quick more of the series after that ending trigger warning - rape,kidnapping
Charles is The Marrok's Enforcer. Since the werewolves came out to the public, he has had more jobs than ever before. Anna can tell that it's destroying him, so Bran sends them to Boston to help the FBI catch a serial killer. Maybe the change will help Charles deal with his issues. The killer isn't just killing humans, he is killing the fae, and werewolves. I love this series!! I liked some of the new characters, especially Isaac.
I love Anna and Charles and this book continued on with that love, in this book we deal with Anna and Charles growing relationship between since getting married. But I love the emotions that happen between them and reactions they get from friends and family.
One of my most favorite series ever! I love the Alpha & Omega series. Charles and Anna are so amazing together, I love them so much. When is the next book coming out??
