I just love this series!! Mercy and Adam are camping on the Columbia River. When Mercy goes in the water to save a distraught fisherman, what she thinks is a weed wraps around her and when she finally gets rid of it, she sees that she has been marked. The fancy camper and campground loaned to them start to seem a little premeditated. Did someone point them in the direction of a monster in the river? Once again, Mercy has good intentions, but finds trouble instead.
Not the strongest of Mercy's adventures, but this one ends up answering a lot of questions and posing quite a few more.
Mercy Thompson. Oh wait, Mercy Hauptman, is one of my favorite heroines. No matter what the odds are, she never gives up, and she does everything she can to protect the ones she loves.
Once again Mercy and Adam save the day....and on their honeymoon. I really like this series as Mercedes (Mercy) is a great character. Who wouldn't like a capable female who repairs cars for a living. The fact she can turn into a coyote is a bonus. Adam, as the Alpha werewolf, is a great pairing. Add in a creepy monster which will keep you out of the rivers and lakes and you have a good read.
