This is an interesting German tale of a French murderer / perfumer. There's a movie also, however the book goes more in depth into the mind of the protagonist (or at least attempts to do it, to explain why he does everything). The story is peculiar and has unexpected twists. There's one part I found didn't quite seem part of the overall story (the third episode) and at the end I just felt that there was something missing. It's a good read, just not my favorite.

           I really enjoyed the experienced that offered me this book. What I liked the most was the smells' descriptions, I could smell them, it was really well written! I loved the development of the character: from his birth he is meant to kill in the purpose to create and until his death he follows his destiny (he kinda chose)
The end was dark just as I expected it to be. 
Nevertheless I think it was a little soft and slow... I didn't like at all the fact that he stays seven years alone in a cave, cut from any human interaction, I couldn't see the point... And as I knew from the beginning that he was meant to be a great killer I expected him to kill earlier and to have more details of him making perfumes of his victims... 
Anyway it was a really good book that sincerely enjoyed! And well written!

Hilarious.
Wonder how the ending scenes would have worked on people who can’t smell, honestly tho, as one myself. Anyway, overall made me think, found it humorous in a different way, mentioning here that I’m not supporting him or anything it’s just kinda funny when you imagine things. Anyway. Goodluck?
