Reviews

It’s good, but I didn't enjoy it.

Disclaimer: this is not a review.
Sad to say because the parts about language drew me in, but time spent in annoyance. Still I want to read the rest of the trilogy. Maybe it makes up for the annoyance somehow.

absolutely excellent! read for class, confusing, not my style… but it really was excellent. star ratings are silly, ignore.

I was a young teenager when I first read the New York Trilogy and it blew my mind. Since then it has come to symbolize a certain period in my life. For this reason I have been cautious of this comic book version of City of Glass. When a friend send me a copy I decided to give it a shot. Boy am I sorry that I waited so long. This is absolutely brilliant. The book manages to keep the essence of the story while adding abstract imagery that compliments and heightens the written word. This is a perfect example of a graphic narrative adaptation of a novel. Highly recommended.

This was my first graphic novel, ever. Also my first Paul Auster. A friend let me borrow this book and I had no clue what I was getting into. (view spoiler)[ This book made me feel confused and sad. Where did Quinn end up? Why did he go mad? What happened to Peter? What happened to Quinn's family? (hide spoiler)] I should probably go read something more lighthearted now.

A weird surrealistic book that i don't understand but was somehow still beautiful

I read the trilogy (the new toke trilogy) and I can't begin to describe how perfectly well written the 3 books were, i would do anything to be able to read it again for the first time.

Like an adult version of a kids superhero story.
